Let's move the State of Israel

The state of Israel started out mostly as Europeans but it is no longer that way. Almost 900,000 immigrants came from North Africa and the Middle East.

And I would like to add that your idea of moving the British-created state of Israel to Tasmania (or anywhere in that part of the world) is not only the first time I've ever agreed with you, it's the best idea you've ever had. There was always a majority of MENA Jews in Israel, and before that in mandate Palestine, but that's irrelevant, because genetic studies have shown beyond the shadow of a doubt that all Jews share the same Middle Eastern ancestry (with the exception of a group of Jews in India, I think).

 

You're actually saying that Jews should be quarantined, like a virus, in a vault on an isolated island, for the greater good.

Don't bother pretending that Jews will still be able to live anywhere they want. The very long, and ongoing, history of persecutions, pogroms, expulsions, and terror attacks against Jews all over the world, show how fallacious that argument would be.

The people of Israel (in Tasmania) will be as free as they are right now to come and go as they please. You do know where Tasmania yes, a stone's throw south of mainland Australia.

 

Do you really think Jews, and especially Israelis, will be safer than they are today outside Israel if their country was in Tasmania? Do you really think antisemitism will just vanish? Do you really think that Islamic fundamentalism will vanish? Do you really think that the location of the Jewish state is the source of all wars, terror, and hatred in the region?

Please argue your point, if your answer to all, or some, of the above is "yes". Until you do it convincingly, I'll maintain my opinion that your proposal is nothing but an attempt to quarantine the Jewish nation.

 

I can only speak about Australia. I am sure that no Jew in this Country feels limited or restricted in their movement in any way. I'll bet some are now nervous because of what is happening now, as are Palestinians in this Country.

This is very difficult subject and even the smartest people have difficulty to understand it.
According to Jewish orthodox religion you are a Jew if you mother is Jewish or if you convert to Judaism.

Don’t despair if you cannot understand it – there people who cannot understand even simplest ideas, like quantum physics.
