I enjoy the real idiots, helps lower the bar so I can sneak under. I guess I cant expect an internet forum to be like real life though. Im used to having arguments that almost degenerate into physical brawls and forgetting about it an hour later with no ones feelings hurt.

Spits coffee...What kind of a reason is that...:-D There are still plenty of idiots anyway who make you look like Einstein without even trying. Are you jaded... Many don't have a posting style exuding English literacy, it doesn't necessarily evidence uninformed or unintelligent, apparent idiocy can be down to cultural differences.

That's the majority of what goes on here, is it not? It's pointless to personally insult and disrupt conversation over and over, but most people, you still get a laugh with in the fun forum after.

I've been trying to get banned for the longest.

Only happens when I don't try, which is unfair to me. You guys need to step your game up.

Seems to be lots of conservatives getting banned lately... I count 4:1 over liberals. Are we on a mission, or what?

There are many more active right-wingers than liberals on this forum.

Not really. There are just a lot of people who don't want to be associated with your pathetic forum group.

That's been true in the past, but it seems we've had an influx of liberals in the last month or so. It's not a static condition. I think we might've tilted to the left.

There are currently more conservative members, I believe. So, it's stands to reason that it might be so. It depends on who are breaking rules and how often. Our rules are VERY fair and any member has LOTS of chances to change their ways BEFORE being banned. It's ALL up to the member. Some learn after only one warning; others never learn.

    What am I missing?

How does one know if a member is banned? As far as I can see (or can't,) there is no longer a member list that's open to members to check who is there and who isn't.

Since I've been here....March of 2004, I've noticed the membership changes based somewhat on the administration in power. Reason being....it's always easier (and more fun) to be on the attack or rather on the offensive. So, when a Republican president is in power, they'll be lots of liberals here blasting away. And now that there is a liberal in the White House, we have more conservatives here blasting away. It's not so much fun to defend. That's the way I see it anyway. Not a scientific study; just a personal observation.

The liberals might be picking up.....only because of the Republican primary and they now have some targets that they enjoy attacking. I think many have actually given up on even trying to defend Obama.

I really think it has more to do with disregarding warnings and infractions. If you get infracted for something, then turn right around & do it again, ya might be gone.

Without a members list, we all have to rely on word-of-mouth for news of bannings. Maybe we could have a post-mortem thread or something? After all, what's punishment without public humiliation?

They're all drones. They're better off forgotten.

I know. If I get banned the drones will win.

I wouldn't say that... real drones are effective. They don't stand in one place and whine.

Actually, by one definition, they do. "Stay in one place and whine" pretty much defines what the drones on a bagpipe do! :D
