I believe this is a matter of time and Europe will be at war. There is no way Ukraine can beat Russia. They would have to completely kill their moral with large death numbers or economic hurt. It won’t happen. So this will inevitably lead to Europe at war. I think sitting off on the side lines will only make it worse when it becomes necessary.

 

Currently in the middle of two wars under Biden, and about to be three. Exactly zero wars under Trump.

 

It would be so ****ing stupid. This could have been handled with a peace treaty years ago. It could have also been avoided if NATO kept its word decades ago.

The power hungry *******s of the world on all sides, once again making us stumble towards another stupid war that was COMPLETELY avoidable.

 

There was a treaty that Russia violated that was made years ago when Ukraine gave up its nukes

This could have been avoided if the damned KGB hadn't taken over Russia's government and turned it into a post-Soviet fascist dictatorship.

 

I'm sure you will be quite happy when an entire generation from all over Europe or the world are dying for a stupid war that could have been avoided without so much bloodshed.

I'm not happy about Putin getting people killed. That's why I favor stopping him ASAP.

 

No direct combat will be allowed because that risks nuclear war. That is why we have to support Ukraine in defending itself against the Russian imperial war of aggression. The reality is Russia propaganda heavily pushes the idea that it must invade the west to supposedly defend itself. If that happens Russia will go nuclear because it knows it's military is pathetic compared to the west.

So, it really is either we help Ukraine defeat the Russian invasion or else there will be a future nuclear war started by Russia. They are very open about their goals and believe they must control the geographic choke points or else it's dying demographics will mean it loses any future wars.

 

Putin broke all the peace treaties and never even pretended to implement any of them. Only a fool believes anything Putin has to say.

I look at nuclear as pure bluff. Putin uses it to cow us and keep us from doing what we could to help Ukraine. I doubt he would launch nukes first even in a direct kinetic war between Russia and NATO.

 

I didn't call you one, unless you agree that one's word means nothing. Between world leaders, giving one's word SHOULD mean everything. I called those who made an agreement and then went back on it honorless turds. Those are their beliefs. A lack of honor is what is leading this world into madness.

 

Paint it up any way you want it, the route you are advocating for will drag the world into war, regardless of which side you think is responsible.
