But there is FEDERAL LAW ...

Bottom line, the Constitution, and 14th amendment, trumps anything the states do. The supremacy clause, federal law trumps state law. So, Section 5 of the 14th amendment is quite clear. If Congress acts (and they did) to pass legislation, which becomes law, then the section three penalties become criminal since section 5 calls for imprisonment. Once the penalty is criminal, section 5 requires a conviction to enforce section 3. In other words, a single Secretary of State, or a state Supreme court, just can't declare him guilty of insurrection. He MUST be convicted under federal law for that to happen.

The right isn't doing anti-Democratic, freedom destroying things like keeping Biden off the ballot with allegations that haven't been decided/proven in court.

How ironic that the same clause that they will use to keep us in NATO is the same clause that will also keep Trump on the ballot.

as expected, you do not respond to the question. The only political leanings who want to be dictators are the left. history is full of them. Sadly, it takes folks like you to follow those people. I again ask seriously; where did we as society go wrong that you cannot see what is in front of you?

    1. The post asked IF the juries found the Orange Turd guilty, would that satisfy your fabricated concerns. The question was not premised on a decision which has already been made;
    2. You need to look at the NY civil proceeding's complaint; and
    3. Gee, you'd think the court would be concerned about being disciplined and reversal on appeal. I don't think you understand the case.

What law did Congress enact to enforce the 14th Amendment? Your reasoning is quite suspect.

Cute. Now show all the people after they “broke” into the capital destroying it. Good luck. We’ve got plenty of video of all those extremely violent dangerous guys, hehe. Idiots but it was NOT who you showed. Remember when I said people using the same pictures of the same area from different angles making it seem like it was happening all over?

Did you not see all the hours of video of people calmly walking through the capital like they’re on a tour? Video of cops allowing people to calmly walk right in? Chatting with them? Fist bumps? I’m not ignoring those who were violent. I saw it. But I’m also NOT ignoring the vast majority who were NOT violent. Many sentenced to years, while others who also calmly but illegally barged into govt offices ant other times and trespassed, weren’t arrested at all.

If you can’t see the disparity I don’t know what to tell you.

A civil suit also prevents James from bumping into the criminal case against Trump’s company that the Manhattan district attorney is prosecuting. Those two offices sometimes work together on criminal cases, as they’re doing on the recent indictment of former Trump adviser Steve Bannon. With regard to Trump, however, they seem to be pursuing complementary approaches instead of overlapping ones.

If he can make white males dominant again. They are all in.
Even if he shoots someone in the middle of 5th Ave.
Especially if the person he shoots is NOT white.

So you think charging an ex president with bank fraud, when the banks say they weren't defrauded, is the right thing to do.
    Just checking

The banks never said they were not defrauded. They simply did not file a complaint.

And yes, it was the right thing to do. And the legal thing to do.

Banks testified that they weren't defrauded?

It's not just banks. It's insurers, et al. You should look at the complaint, which you plainly haven't done.

Which, at this point, have nothing to do with a State's right to determine who is or is not eligible to be on their State's election ballot.
The States use the constitution to make eligibility determinations.
We'll see if the USSC makes a ruling on this issue.
NO crime is needed. Only to have engaged.

Like riling up a mob? Telling them to go to the Capitol to fight like hell to take back their country?
Sending congress into hiding, stopping the election process?
    Those anti democratic things?

You think running over the cops and the barrier in OK?
    Why?
Sending everyone in congress into hiding is OK? Why?

Walking around the captiol after illegally breaking in doesn't make it any better.

So much for the people who like to yell, law and order.

Raping some one is illegal. No matter how gentle the rapist is.

Reality's version: "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." - Trump

We will see if that is right when a judgement is reached.

    ...
Allen Weisselberg, former chief financial officer of the The Trump Organization, has already pleaded guilty to more than a dozen felonies as part of the Manhattan DA’s probe. Weisselberg will testify against Trump’s company—but not against Trump himself—when that trial kicks off on Oct. 24.

James could end up settling the civil lawsuit against the Trumps, though she would probably insist they agree to harsh terms that make it look like she won. If there’s no settlement, the case will likely go before a jury. But the suit alone, and the evidence it has produced, may already be a form of victory for prosecutors seeking to punish Trump for years of transgressions.

"We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore," he said.

    He fights, he fights.

they're out there fighting. The House guys are fighting. But it's, it's incredible.

And you have to get your people to fight. And if they don't fight, we have to primary the hell out of the ones that don't fight.

Republicans are constantly fighting like a boxer

And we're going to have to fight much harder.

It was going to be great and now we're out here fighting.

I'd fight. So I'd fight, they'd fight, I'd fight, they'd fight. Pop pop.

That's what they do, they suppress. You don't fight with them anymore.

And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore.
