Ideally I think there should be three comparable parties because, as noted in a different thread, as much as people like duopolies they love triopolies (eg the big 3 in Autos, in TV, etc.).

Once upon a time voters could contribute a small amount to the election campaigns of candidates they liked.

Then the CORRUPT and VENAL SCrOTUS in the Citizens United decision ENABLED mega donors to give UNLIMITED amounts to any candidate who would DO what those corporations DEMANDED.

ActBlue is a means to COUNTERACT that CORRUPTION of our electoral process. ActBlue is an AGENT that enables small individual donations to fund campaigns WITHOUT the OBLIGATION to follow the DEMANDS of the megadonors.

I don't yet see how this ActBlue helps negate corruption - well wait - .

Honestly, I saw your post after just waking up but I promise to try to make some sense. Yes, I am sure that Dems are far less corrupt than Reps but Reps have their rubes out in the boonies States and Reps have their filibuster. Sure and I hope desperately that the recent move of Pluto into Aquarius bodes the ****ing end of this horrible corruption.

To put this in simple terms let's say you are elected as mayor of your community.

The following week one of the mega donors to your campaign reminds you that he gave your campaign a million dollars and he wants you to shut down an investigation into his corporation violating local noise ordinances. A great many of those who voted for you did so on the basis that you would stop these violations.

OK. Let's say that the end of the Republican party happens tomorrow. What then?

1. Abortions will be totally allowed in all states and overseas where Americans are. This in turn will allow the continued annulation of all poor black, brown and white trash future children.

2. Open borders for all those who wish to enter the country. Result, will be free rein for the import of drugs like fentanyl which if given away freely to drug addicts may kill them all. Those people who are in great pain or cannot afford prescription drugs can be given doses that will kill them and take them off the medical care payroll. Drug cartels can set up in all sections of America and the battle for the streets can begin between existing drug gangs.

3. Hillary Clinton will be appointed the new INDOCTRINATION CZAR of all people who disagree with the new government alignment. Just as they had internment camps for the American Japanese Citizens in the America the same can be done for those pesky MAGA people. The real stubborn will be eliminated.

4. The Constitution will be declared null and void and a new form of one-party government.

5. All oil fields and fossil fuels will become outlawed. The green utopians will declare victory as they watch automobiles rust all along the roads of America. Al Gore will fly into Washington D.C. and proclaim himself the Climate Czar. Then he will fly to the Carribean for an extended vacation on his yacht.

6. All criminal gangs will be given immunity for past crimes and be offered jobs in the local police force.

7. All corporations will be unionized and those corporations that resist will be considered enemies of the state and all assets seized.

8. All conservative radio will be shut down or controlled by the government for allowable content. Social Media will be heavily regulated and censured.

9. All University's and School's content will be approved by the government and enforced by the school unions. Parents will not have a say in the curriculum.

10. George Soros will declare himself President and if he doesn't get it he will take his money and leave.

The final result. BLM will find out that they really don't matter because Latinos and New World Order whites will be the superior groups. LBGT groups will find out that they are no longer needed for support and that their lifestyle will not be tolerated anymore. Freedom will be a thing not to be tolerated. There will be weeping and the nashing of teeth and the people will be crying out. "Where are the Americans that believe in Life, Liberty, the Pursuit of Happiness and the Right to own property". "GOD why have you forsaken us".
