So your imagination is all you're going by. That was expected. My nearest neighbor is about a mile away, and I often shoot squirrels and rabbits of my porch. Even got a small buck next to my garage once. You are so brainwashed till you think liberals couldn't possibly enjoy the same things that so many others enjoy.

Can't trust the police with guns. We better disarm them.

I still say we shouldn't arm ANYBODY cops or otherwise. Armed cops should be special cops. In Singapore they let the ARMY do that. I don't quite agree with that but it does emphasize the idea that armed crimes are serious business.

I put my name on my door, Big block letters. I'm not ashamed of who I am and if I wanted everybody to think I didn't live there I'd just use a different name.

A more true statement has never been made.

Police only escalate situations. The exact opposite of what our military does for some reason.

I’m a firm believer in teaching every citizen how to operate firearms of all types. Imagine trying to be a criminal in a country where every single person in it has a gun, and training.

From what I've heard, this may be her only defense.

TX CPJC 29-2 Mistake of Law
    State: Texas

Criminal Pattern Jury Charges (Criminal Defenses) (2015)
    Chapter 29. Mistake of Law
    CPJC 29-2 Mistake of Law

    [Insert instructions for underlying offense.]

If you all agree the state has proved, beyond a reasonable doubt, each of the [number] elements listed above, you must next consider whether the defense of mistake of law applies.

    Mistake of Law

You have heard evidence that, when the defendant [insert specific conduct constituting offense], he believed that his conduct did not constitute a crime.

    Relevant Statutes

A person’s conduct that would otherwise constitute the crime of [offense] is not a criminal offense if the person reasonably believed as a result of mistake of law that the conduct charged did not constitute a crime and that he acted in reasonable reliance on either—

    1. an official statement of the law contained in a written order or grant of permission by an administrative agency charged by law with responsibility for interpreting the law in question; or

    2. a written interpretation of the law contained in an opinion of a court of record or made by a public official charged by law with responsibility for interpreting the law in question.

Mistake of law is an affirmative defense. Therefore the defendant must prove, by a preponderance of the evidence, three elements. The elements are that—

    [Select one of the following.]

    1. at the time of the conduct, the defendant believed that the conduct did not constitute a crime; and

    [or]

    1. the defendant, before or during his conduct, considered the law applicable to his conduct and mistakenly concluded the law did not make the conduct a crime; and

    [or]

    1. the defendant [mistakenly] believed the law did not make the conduct a crime; and

    [Continue with the following.]

    2. the defendant’s belief was reasonable; and

    3. the defendant reached this [mistaken] belief in reasonable reliance on either—

    a. an official statement of the law contained in a written order or grant of permission by an administrative agency charged by law with responsibility for interpreting the law in question; or

    b. a written interpretation of the law contained in an opinion of a court of record; or

    c. a written interpretation of the law made by a public official charged by law with responsibility for interpreting the law in question.

She can pass 1. with flying colors.

    2. Will be a hard sell, but it may be possible if the undermanned DPD has been working her on 12-15 hour shifts for weeks on end.

    3. will bite her in the butt. She was never told in her training that shooting someone because of a case of mistaken location is not against the law. She will have to get her lawyer to find existing case law to let her off the hook.

I think she is hosed, and I think she will go down for Murder 2. At least, that's what I think should happen.

Forum right wingers need to use their so called Christian principles and demand "a life for a life".

C'on right wingers let's see you say so - this way we shall end the government holocaust against innocent blacks.

Had it been MS-13 Donald Dump would have made a statement declaring that his views on immigration have been validated.

So far, I have not heard an assertion from him in which he joined with Reagan in saying that government needs to get off people's backs and lives.

We have gone over this several times that the guy who shot five cops was NOT associated with BLM. Michael Xavier Johnson was an Afghanistan war veteran who snapped after the turmoil he suffered during that war.

He was in the Texas National Guard for 6 years with a specialty of carpentry and masonry. That doesn’t sound very high stress or explain why he targeted whites.

I’m not putting his service down. I just doubt that PTSD had anything to do with the attack.

the guy was sent to Afghanistan, was traumatized by his experience, was described as a "loner" and had troubles no doubt caused or aggravated by what he went through - in any case, he was NOT - repeat, NOT - associated with BLM
