    Relied is the wrong word.
Why would Dems vote for the other party? This clown show will make Republicans more known publicly as being unable to govern.
And there's a small chance of a Dem speaker. If a handful of them are tired of the ineptness of the Republican nonsense.

    No.
    They sided with their constituents.
The MAGA group broke ranks from their party.

How did the Dems side with them?
They've never once voted for McCarthy as speaker. They've voted consistently.

Your desperate need for diversion upchucks the lies you are force fed by propaganda outlets, of course.

The current Congressional Republicans' cannibalistic orgy makes a piranha feeding frenzy look like a Ramadan fast.

The “Trump for Speaker” Campaign Shipwrecks on the Shoals of Stupidity

Some House Republicans want the Cry Baby Loser to be their new boss.
There are just two problems with this plan: It’s crazy, and it’s not allowed.

Kevin McCarthy’s speakership ended as it began—in chaos. Unprepared to build coalitions,
unwilling to stand firm against the crazies in his own caucus, and, ultimately,
unable to count votes at the moment when vote counting mattered most,
    the California Republican was
deposed on Tuesday amid a cacophony of
    threats, insults, accusations, and whining.

According to the Conference Rules of the 118th Congress, “If a member of Elected Republican Leadership…
publicly announces his or her intention to seek other elected office in Federal, state, or local government,
that Member shall resign from such leadership position.”

Trump's fealty to Putin is eloquently expressed by Congressional Republicans' refusal to champion democracy at home and abroad.

If Trump has enough votes to be Speaker he has enough votes for a rule change.

For the Loser's cult, anything is possible, but you have to deal with reality:

The multiply-indicted sexual abuser will never be elected to any political office.

So you don't think that Grampa Felony fingers who raped Tara Reid will get re-elected? Good to know! According to the betting odds, it looks like you are right!

These MAGA fanatics really are a very special breed indeed!

They are unable to realize that the GOP is in a complete, and possibly fatal, meltdown; and there is no hope for it as long as Trump owns them.

If there were any credible evidence that the fantasies you've been force fed were remotely true, obviously, there would be no shortage of the sexual abuser's worshipers eager to bring charges against the President.

You even get your alleged victim wrong. It's "Tara Reade", not "Tara Reid."

... Reade wrote glowingly about Putin, saying he "scares the power elite in America because he is a compassionate, caring, visionary leader."

"To President Putin," Reade concluded, "I say keep your eyes to the beautiful future and maybe, just maybe America will come to Russia as I do, with eyes of love."...

Please let me know when actual charges by a credible person are actually contrived.

Speaker Trump? Former Prez To Attend GOP's Closed Candidate Forum On Tuesday

    Impeachment Power.

'Trump expected to attend GOP mtg on Tuesday for closed candidate forum for House Speaker'

Might need an impeachment inquiry on that DC judge.

He'll simply help steer the process:

'I am running for President, have a 62 Point lead over Republicans, and am up on Crooked Joe Biden, despite the Democrat Party’s massive Law-fare, Weaponization, and Election Interference efforts, by 4 to 11 Points, but will do whatever is necessary to help with the Speaker of the House selection process, short term, until the final selection of a GREAT REPUBLICAN SPEAKER is made - A Speaker who will help a new, but highly experienced President, ME, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!.

The drama-llama stuff that is just wasting taxpayer money was pre-programmed from the start. Damn those Democrats for wasting that taxpayer money!

Oh, wait, it wasn't the Democrats...

    one said 20 years ago:

"Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line"

    Today we say:

"Democrats fall in love and in line, Republicans fall apart"

And I would just like to remind in a calm, mild-mannered way that as of the passing of the CR, we had 45 days to work out the financial bugs and then pass a real budget for FY'24.

But since the Republicans have decided to take AN ENTIRE WEEK to see if they can find anyone to actually be speaker, when all is said and done, the House will have 35 days or less to do this.

    Talk about wasting taxpayer money.

When Matt Gaetz talks about ripping off the bandaid, he really means ripping his constituents off of more campaign dollars.

The funny thing is: I am actually in agreement with Republicans, at least the sane ones, that there should be no more omnibus bills. Pass the budget in 10 to 12 categories, start at the beginning of a calendar year, not a fiscal year, for the next fiscal year, and assign this to standing joint committees of the House and the Senate, thereby eliminating the middleman and tons of wasted time.

But nooooo, we just had to have hearings about people urinating in DC or gas stoves going into the nazi crematoria or being forced to see Hunter Biden's dickpics or let's kill woke let's kill woke let's kill woke but please leave Lauren Boebert alone while she is giving a 1st date a handjob in a crowded theater where children are present, because MAGA.

We live in the stupidest of possible timelines.

It wasn't Democratic help. It was totally unified Democrats being totally consistent with their vote choice, because not even one Democrat voted for McCarthy back in January 2023 in even one of the 15 embarrassing rounds the finally got him the speakership, that is, after he got under the table and blew all the maga boys to get what he wanted and then sold his soul to Donald Trump for good measure, only to get ****ed over by Trump. Sad, just sad.

The Democrats are not responsible for even one bit of this. This ENTIRE ****-show was brought to us lock-stock-and-barrel by the Republicans. Also, it's not the Democrats' job to wipe the Republican's asses just because Republicans indeed did **** their pants once again. The Democrats just pulled the cart out of the mud with the CR on Saturday one week ago, remember? Yeah, in ****ed up MAGA-land a day feels like 6 years.

Maybe, just maybe, had McCarthy showed some humanity the last 9+ months, if he hadn't constantly cast the Democrats as the enemy, if he hadn't broken his word repeatedly, maybe, just maybe he could have convinced Hakeem Jeffries (who has his caucus just as unified as Nancy Pelosi did, through hard work, iron will and logic, to note) to cut loose 9 Ds to help him out, but why?? That would have brought absolutely nothing, for Matt Gaetz would have simply put up another motion to vacate the chair and he would have done this over and over and over again until he got the result he wanted, because Matt Gaetz is just like Donald Trump: he doesn't give a flying **** about the American people, but rather, he is in this just for himself. So, Hakeem Jeffries' logical decision to let the Republicans drown in their own bile, history will record, actually saved us the American People as much time as possible.

Yeah a hundred billion dollars to Ukraine isn't a waste of money.

I won't argue that the Republicans are wasting money but that's what they all do I don't care what wing of the same bird they belong to.

Fake news. McCarthy was voted out by Democrats, if just 8 Dems would have abstained, he'd still be Speaker, but that fool thought he could trust the word of Democrats. We'll soon have a smarter speaker.

As for your slander of MAGA, that's quite like the corrupt FBI.
