Anyone who thinks they're not going to pay for it one way or another is very simple minded. Many ways to skin this one and several by a stroke of the president's pen that doesn't even need congressional approval. The one that does make sense to me is to throw it in on the renegotiation of NAFTA.

 

And anyone who thinks a financial shell game is the same as "Mexico paying for the wall" is blind as well as dumb.

 

I know plenty of Mexicans. I out weigh them by 50 pounds and stand several inches above them. I say what I want to them and they agree.

 

Anyone who thinks that threatening to shut down the government unless congress pays for the wall is a necessary step toward making mexico pay for the wall at some point, in some fashion, is a moron.

Part of his strategy was to whine like a baby when he tried to talk the President of Mexico into saying they would pay for the wall? That's not how he described his negotiating skills in "The Art of the Deal".

But if you really want to discuss the 100 day promise, how many of those did he accomplish? Didn't he talk about the 100 day promise being unimportant as that deadline approached?
