Police briefly close Adams while dispersing crowd

A "major incident" involving a large group of people shooting fireworks at police and firefighters occurred near the Taft Homes just before 10 p.m. Monday, about the same time the fireworks show on the riverfront was ending.

Police had to briefly shut down Adams and Eaton streets, near Taft, as they dispersed the large crowds.

No officers or firefighters were injured, dispatchers said on the radio.

At one point, police were ordered to tell those in the crowd to go into their apartments, leave or be arrested for unlawful assembly.

Police Seek Robbers In Baseball Bat Beatings

Gang Attacking Couples Leaving Downtown Restaurants, Bars, Police Say


Police are trying to identify a gang of men who are beating couples with baseball bats and robbing them in downtown Denver.

Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson said there have been two attacks, each involving the robbery of a couple leaving restaurants or bars at closing time.

Just before 2 a.m. on July 16, a couple was walking home from a restaurant-bar near East 10th Avenue and Pennsylvania Street when they were surrounded by a group of men, according to a police report.


Two men wielding baseball bats hit the man and woman in the head, "causing major bruising and swelling," the report said. Then a robber grabbed the woman's purse.

The man and woman were transported to Denver Health Medical Center for treatment, police said.

On June 26 near 1000 Broadway, a couple was in an alley near their vehicle when a group of men walked up and "assaulted them with a baseball bat and demanded money," a police report said. The robbers grabbed the woman's purse and ran to a waiting car, police said.

The attackers are “not nice people," Jackson said.

Police describe the attackers as four to five black men, ages 18 to 21 years.

Kudos to chl 7 in Denver for actually describing the suspects. Perhaps, the public's complaints about half-assed media descriptions are paying off. Does Denver allow civilians to CCW?

If I were to post every incident like this where blacks are atacking robbing raping and murdering whites this site would be another Chimpout site. But as every time I've attempted to expose this obvious media coverup of black on white crimes I've been labeled a recist so I won't.

 

A couple of humble observations:

1. "Police describe the attackers as four to five black men, ages 18 to 21 years." Wow... are they even allowed to say that? Putting our beloved minorities in a negative context (no matter how deserving)?

2. "The attackers are 'not nice people,' Jackson said" Uh... robbing people with baseball bats...ya think?

 

Dude, you're going to get labeled as a racist no matter what you do or say. Embrace it!

 

I think we need to outlaw baseball. If we made soccer our only sport what would the attackers do, roll around on the ground grabbing their ankles as if they were in pain?

Colorado has a pretty good set of CCW laws OUTSIDE of the Denver metro area. If you have a Colorado issued CW permit, it is not applicable in the city of Denver....sad. But I still don't drive to the city without mine

 

If you outlaw baseball only typical Obama voters will have bats.

Better to allow concealed carry and just blow them away when they try to use those bats.

I guess they have to do something to fill their time, since most don't work and make their livings committing crimes and collecting welfare checks.

I've had the race card thrown at me so much and so often that they have blackened the skies (pardon the double entendre)....

As you see, even here in the "Rocky Mountain High" paradise of Colorado, we have imported the same kind of rotten, stinking vermin that were thought to infest only inner-city ghettos in sh*tholes like Chicago, New York, Cleveland, Detroit, etc., etc.

Multi-culturalism is a boon to communities though, or at least that's what we are told. Where are the liberals to praise this cultural exchange as a success of their social engineering?
