I've been planning to move to the wee for a few years.. rugged off road riding is beginning to fade from my bucket list.. been there & done that, & easy road riding is becoming more alluring. My daughter had a wee & i got to ride it a bit.. and a few of my riding buddies have them too. ..very reliable, cheap, plenty of power, customizable. Everything fun about a bike.

older stock wee running almost a 13 flat. The newer ones supposedly hit mid 12's or low 12's which is plenty

and older 1000 trapping at 117mph high 11's. Not too shabby for a comfortable bike. Sure, it doesn't come close to the GSXR or Busa but those aren't as comfy

Honey Boo Boo and the Kardashians do not represent reality for 99% of the People. Seriously.

Obviously the statements about Harley owners and the women that ride Harley's are about as close to reality as believing that Kim Kardashian is representative of the average American woman.

A reality Show isn't about connecting with average Joe Schmuck.Where you been pally.
In fact reality Shows are purposedly quirky and out of sorts.
Like the new - Tickle - { about a cracker moonshiner } or - Porter Ridge - a real country
boy { Hillbilly } who runs a Junk Yard way back in Mountain man territory.
Those shows profile the average day { not really } of the quirky.
Yes,they spiff them shows up to dramatize and make seem crazier.
But those aren't actors with scripts or a wardrobe and makeup and hair handlers
    on site.
All it takes for real acting is for a Cracker to win the lotto and buy his first Harley.
    Now that'd bee a real Hoot !.

The people are on camera, know they are on camera, and are acting even if they're too stupid to realize it.

I went and done it.Bought me a Honda CB1100.Took it home this afternoon.
Had 2 miles on it when I sat down and drove it home.I prefer breaking-in a bike
in the fall { cooler weather }. Buying a bike in early to mid summer may seem like
cake, but the heat is not good for a new engine.I was wrong about the rev limiter
being at 7,000 rpm.The Tach has a red line at 8500.I just read where the rev limit
is at 9,ooo rpm.I put 65 miles on the bike.had to take the Interstate for most of it.
    But I never went over 50 mph.Kept the Revs slightly under 3 grand.So I used 5th gear
most of the time.I made up for it by using a 12 minute stretch off the Interstate on a
highway in 4th gear.I took the bike to 70 a couple times.
Once in 4th gear and then in 5th.I don't believe in babying a bike but also not
getting on it.basically today I babied the bike.I took it out for quick spin later
in my neighborhood and kinda pulled it a few times at higher rpm.
The bike feels totally different than any bike I ever owned. It is truly sprightly and fun.
It feels real light in the front and the gear shifting is snappy and precise.Neutral
is clicking in real nicely. The gas gauge is way off.But then so is my M109.
The only problem I have is the footpegs. They are too far back.I don't like forward
controls, but the footpegs on this model are kinda back instead of directly underneath.
I'll have to do something about that.Too hard on the knees.

    congrats

    a photo would be nice

how tall are you? I'm 5' 11" and would be curious as to how we compare with respect to peg position and ride comfort of the 1100

I don't do Photo's.Plus my wisdom on this will pay dividends once this NSA and
Obama spy grid regime decide to go after everyone, even slightly critical of the Herr leader.
I did read a review where some guy { 5' 11" } made a comment about needing to be that
tall in order to feel comfortable on this bike.I took the bike out today for a short trip
{ 20 miles } and it's starting to grate on me.The bike really doesn't fit me.The seat causes
me to slide forward and is rather high off the ground. But those pegs are almost directly under
my a$$ and I'm not used to that. But I am by nature a person who likes to look for the
negatives first. But I did say and insist that a Bike should fit like a glove. There is more buzz in the
grips than I would prefer.I read where the engineers did that on purpose. That the bike was
too smooth when completed and that the engineers and Board members decided to slightly
Detune the model in order to give it a bit of a rugged edge.So they adjusted the valve timing
in order to make the bike a little more hearty. The bike does have a nice hearty exhaust note.
Plus the bike takes TOO long to warm up.That is typical of Honda Fuel ,injection.
Honda's take 3 minutes to enrich down.My VTX 1800 was like that and my Rune is
the same.Plus Honda's do seem to run hot. This bike runs hot right after start-up.
I don't understand that.I mean,I git the Japanese Fukushima Nuclear disaster.
That still is ongoing.Isn't fixed by any measure.
But by and large it is a really great bike, that may not be great for old timers who are
set in their ways and used to motorcycles that cater to older limbs.
Still,I can hop on this bike and buzz off like no ones business. That cannot be done
on a Rune no matter what.Yeah, once on the road and set, like at a stop light, the Rune is
almost King. It's just twist and Goooooooooooo_Or on a long stretch where straight line
stability is dire { like the Interstate } few bikes are better than a VTX 1800 or Rune.
The Goldwing being the standard for all other bikes to compare.
    No bike is perfect.

I haven't ridden for awhile. Weather is turning and my ride factor is low. Best time to ride seems to be Spring when the blood is up.

I just walked in the door.. rode out to some nearby canyons to hunt some quail... only saw one covey. :( But the bike is nice for getting in close, riding the washes & rocky sections, then parking it & hiking into the upland meadow where it should be teeming with quail!! There was a bit of a nip in the air.. might have been almost 50. :O

Central az is pretty nice for bikes.. i ride year round. There might be a day or so that it is cold or snowy, but not often, & not for long. If you guys like, i could post some pics on here this winter.. just to rub it in! :roflol:

I went quail hunting a few times with a buddy who bought 11 nice acres in the country.
We used his bird dog once.I was inexperienced and used the shotgun I had bought at a
pawn shop.A pump 12 ga.I traded it out later for an Ithaca 20 ga. auto.
BTW ... how can you carry a shotgun around on a motorcycle.I know they have the
new shotguns that dissemble for wilderness/camper hunting.

I've got an over/under, & it breaks down to about 28". I strap it in a case to the back rack. Works fine.

Well I hope it's not a very expensive over/under.The most expensive shotgums
    are over/under. I still crave a nice Italian Over/under.
All that bouncing around { even in a padded case } on the back of a dirt bike
    can't be too good for the gun.Like the firing pin and stuff {trigger housing }
