The government has no money but collects taxes to pay for services for those who need them. American corporations see it differently.

I blame congress,Obama and dems that passed the aca without knowing what was in it or knowing the impact the law would fully have on insurance companies and benefits. The aca gave insurance companies a free hand to set deductibles copays and annual out of pocket at any amount they wanted regardless of the premium they charged. The aca did only one thing, doing away with preexisting conditions , unless u have in the past or still are addicted to tobacco yet they consider over eating and obesity, one other underlying causes of premature death, causing heart disease and diabetes. Fair not to call past or current addiction to tobacco a preexisting condition, IMO, NO.

Wealthy investinding off shore has nothing to do with the costly, unusable exchange policies that lack full transparency.

I want a public option, the choice to use the public option if my ins company raises my deductible from 6000 to 7000

if everyone started to chose the public option, insures would actually try to complete to win us back

so now that your insurer raised your insurance, what are you gonna do about it, look for another carrier or blame the government?

Government is supposed to be of the people and do those large things we could not do ourselves like national security. If people could take from their neighbors and give to whom they think need it most it would land them in jail. It took progressive ideology to bastardize 'of the people' to produce an illegal action no one could lawfully do individually.

you mean like with our national highways, take from our neighbors to build roads I will never use, bridges I will never uses, dams I will never use, or to start wars I disprove of, the list goes on

fact is safety nets benefit all of society, even if some can't see it, Mexico doesn't do this, go south and see what it's like... they are even 98% Christian nation, the right shoudl love it

No, we can build roads individually and legally. Organizations can build roads legally. The Federal government can do it in a much larger scale but still, those are things we can do legally as individuals.

We cannot take from our neighbor and give that to someone else we deem worthy legally.

Deductibles may or may not be lower but a big problem is often a higher deductible is not equaling a lower premium or annual out of pockret. And depending on what your policy benefits consider expenses that go toward your deductible, it may be difficult to mEET your deductible and annual out of pocket. Therefore your only real benefit for having the insurance is lower doctor visit an for routine illness, preventive tests( most of which were already covered by insurance at 80 to 90% to begin with

Insurance rates have continuously increased since the implementation of Medicare and Medicaid in the mid 60's.

Government involvement in the healthcare business is the fricking reason for the astronomical rates.

Get government out of the healthcare business!

Why can't you understand that simple fact?????

lets start with ending prohibition and prescription medications (government control of healthcare)

I have no issue with gov run hospitals for the poor and those that can not afford it, let people choose private care too if they want

There are many different ways to deal with inflation. Lowering the value of a service package is one of them.

We also did not have heart transplants, cancer treatments, kidney dialysis or lots of other treatments
Could be that heath insurance needs to cover a lot more procedures than in the The 60s

What is the cost connection with medicare.... Other than they happened in the same time frame?
Maybe medical costs went up because the stock market went up?
Or maybe because people became more over weight?
Maybe the increasing number of guns caused the increase in medical costs

Or maybe we should look for some logical reasons why medical costs have increased

You can lower costs by going back to 60's medicine.

Why on earth to you have this belief your deductible would be lower?

So you grow your own food, your own cotton which you weave and make your own cloths, raise your own livestock, grew the trees then ripped the lumber out of them to build your own house and generate your own electricity? Or do you use those roads to get your food and clothing and other materials and things you need, ie the companies you buy from use them to transport the goods to a store you go to or to you own front door.

And BTW federal highways are authorized in the Constitution.

do you not benefit from the reduced crime and increased health from our safety nets

a better society benefits us all... move to Mexico and see what a lack of safety nets is like

I see the Amish shopping at our walmart, why do they not have to pay taxes for our roads?

Now you are the one being purposefully obtuse. The post was cited as to its source...no infringement. The site asks, does not demand that you link to their site...no infringement. The forum rules state all copyrighted material must conform to fair use guidelines, and it does...no infringement. This forum only suggests you provide a link it does not require it...no infringement.

The fact that you cannot deal with the information and feel it necessary to nit pick does not serve your cause any.

If the aca mandated a 1960 standard of care
There would be outrage about the horrible coverage.... Death panels and such
Yeah, i can just imagine going to a doctor and being told i could not get any treatment not available in 1960
And the reason for this is cost saving

    You said

    And I asked

So you grow your own food, your own cotton which you weave and make your own cloths, raise your own livestock, grew the trees then ripped the lumber out of them to build your own house and generate your own electricity? Or do you use those roads to get your food and clothing and other materials and things you need, ie the companies you buy from use them to transport the goods to a store you go to or to you own front door.

Can you respond to what I post please?

    And I also noted

And BTW federal highways are authorized in the Constitution.

I have no problem with the Federal government funding the things the Constitution authorizes.

    - - - Updated - - -

I think it has long been established that you cannot have a single payer public option and private companies in competition.

But again, please try to focus and answer, why on earth do you have this belief that the deductible would be lower?

No there was no answer once again. You said you didn't want pay for roads and bridges you will never use so I asked

    Try again.

I was being sarcastic in response to your post, lol, i have no issue paying my taxes..... your the one that doesn't want to pay your taxes and thinks it's stealing from you

are there some republicans themed items I do not like the gov spending out money on sure, like the war in Iraq.. as an example

but I still pay my taxes, and do not call it stealing when I send my check in

I pay the same taxes regardless of party... just different parties spend our taxes differently in some ways

Ahhh don't put words in my mouth, it makes you look foolish.

70% of the country supported using our military force to remove the Taliban and Saddam including the person you are most likely to vote for for President.

So cite me the Republicans who want to abolish all taxes and end all government spending else admit that is a canard.
