    Thanks Obama!

I thought Obama campaigned on and promised to lower our health insurance premiums? What's up with that?

This is just for you lefties who don't believe the articles we keep posting about the ever increasing deductibles.

I mean heck, what's more believable than the actual scanned letter that I received.

There's a lot of illegal aliens and their sprogs to pay for. They don't have money, so what can we do except take from privileged white males who are hoarding their cash in secret off shore bank accounts? $1000 is probably just a rounding error in our ultra wealthy lifestyles anyway.

That scan is about correct...Heh we supply the same insurance company. I blame congress though not the ACA. we need single payer program. We get a monthly premium of about $1200 charged to our employers for anything more then a single male(single male is only $80). whats yours?

No, we don't need single payer.

Why would you want the government to have a monopoly on anything?

What we need is more competition, not less.

Deductible smucktible. Are your premiums less? That's ALL that counts to proselytize Obamacare as a success (/sarcasm)

He did. If Obamacare wasn't in place your deductible would have most likely went up more.

    Don't believe you.

Since institution of Obama Care my insurance deduction from my check has not increased once. EVERY YEAR before 2012 when the first provisions of the ACA hit my insurance premium went up anywhere between 10 - 25 percent per year. Since the ACA 0. My deductible has not increased one cent and now, thanks to the ACA, my prescription drug purchases are counted against my deductible which, in effect, makes my deductible less not more.

If what you are saying is true then you have the wrong, by a lot, insurance company.

My non-PPACA premium is going up about 18% again this year. Got the notice this week.

My deductible when from $1000 per person to $3000 per person. Plus it pays less (70% vs 90%) once the deductible is met. The premiums for the wife and I went from $300 month to $550 month. Basically, the only thing it is good for is major injuries or illnesses.

That is nothing. We are at $12,700 deductible and just got notice that it's going up 45% for 2016.

We will no longer be offering Health Insurance to employees.

Then I think you have the wrong the insurance company. If you are on the ACA you can shift to another, better company. If you are on an employee plan then your beef is with you HR department who had their heads up their butts when planning your insurance coverage. I understand that some deductibles have gone up but most of the deductible increases are due to two facts. A natural rise in rates which insurance companies are want to do, or, more likely a raise in the deductible because the deductible now allows for prescription drug purchases. That being said if you purchased through the exchanges...good news, you can purchase from a different company with better coverage. If you have it through your job then it is the fault of your HR department.

You are the exception then. My premiums were not going up before Obamacare and they didn't go up after but my deductible jumped from 500 to 3000 which basically means I now have to pay for all my medical things unless something serious happens. It would honestly be cheaper now to pay the fine and let you cover my bill if I need something major.

Don't care. It's true, whether you believe it or not. Look at what other people say if you don't believe me. Then again, I'm suuuureee we all are lying, right?

I would trust the statistics over any anecdotal account. By statistical analysis we have about 4-5% increase in premiums since 2014 and 50% rise in deductibles since 2009. The deductible rise equates to about 10% per year. This is offset however by the ability to now include prescription drug purchases onto the deductible.

Wait until next year (2016) when Obamacare actually kicks in. Especially if you are a small business owner. :roflol:

And Obama's ACA doesn't even cover for a jar of KY Jelly. :roflol:

Just a few months ago I got a letter informing me that my premium had just increased over $1,000 per year.

Then there's those who can't even afford to use their Obamacare policy.

You would be more honest if your reported how much out of pocket you were last year rather than cite the theoretical maximum you could pay.

This doesn't prove anything except that if you had a major illness or injury you might be out of pocket by the amounts quoted.

thank your insurance company... Obama told you we needed a public option to keep prices low... you can't trust the insurance companies to keep rates low on their own

"Wal-Mart Memo Suggests Ways to Cut Employee Benefit Costs " 2005

    http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/26/business/26walmart.ready.html?pagewanted=all

"Wal-Mart executives said the memo was part of an effort to rein in benefit costs, which to Wall Street's dismay have soared by 15 percent a year on average since 2002. Like much of corporate America, Wal-Mart has been squeezed by soaring health costs. The proposed plan, if approved, would save the company more than $1 billion a year by 2011."

"Ms. Chambers acknowledged that 46 percent of the children of Wal-Mart's 1.33 million United States employees were uninsured or on Medicaid."

an interesting Article, Walmart claims Healthcare raising by 15% a year back in 2005 under complete republican control...

If its the insurance companies fault why did my health insurance remain stable for decades until Obama kicked in his aca. I think its time to change it from affordable care act to you pay through the nose for everyone else act. As I correctly predicted...feel free to review the historic posts that if anyone thought we we going to add people to the system, pay for them while at the same time getting higher quality healthcare for less...pat yourselves on the back you are on a scale of stupidity no one has ever seen.
