I meant exactly what I wrote. Anything else you perceived is not what I said and not what I meant, and you're mistaken.

Get it straight. That's not what I said or meant. Re-read the OP if you're unclear.

Why? I've detailed my view on this subject many times. Marriage is a bond between a man and a woman that goes back several thousand years. I'm not in favor of liberals turning this upside down. I'm against it.

Be real. That is merely ONE definition of marriage, that not ALL people have adhered to it; not everywhere and certainly not for all time.

Look, come out of the closet and tell us that you want to see a law passed that would make it all right for you to marry your prized pink-eyed sheep. Alternative lifestyles seem to be in vogue these daze...so nothing to be embarrassed about.

From an English major, think of this....
Racist is one who denotes a different in color. Period. color identifies the races. we see in color. purely scientific
Predjudice is the expression against something that is different than our likes. I do not like orange crayons, Does that make me a racist or a bigot? not a chance
Bigotry is the action taken, either verbally or physically, due to the predjudice, against ANY race

What i find a more horrible on forums like this is the word 'color'

It is truelly disgusting. The ignoring of the letter U. Which makes the word both ugly and annoying to even attempt.

After this bigotry and racism has been addressed on this modest website. The true battle shall begin of reinserting the silent U.

I find the current path of political correctness to be too controlling as well. However, just like Daybreaker, I consider PC to not be exclusive to one form of political thought.

I agree. Political Correctness is the most potent weapon in the lefts arsenal...It is designed to make most ideas not of the left too toxic to be mentioned.

What is 'right wing political correctness'? Perhaps you mean American values like individual freedom, respect for work, individual responsibility, capitalism?

I figured out long ago that the folk crying 'racist' the loudest are themselves the most challenged when it comes to diversity.

The irrational insistence that Global Warming was man made and all science to the contrary was biased while all science in favor was blessed by God, or Gia...

We would still be there if Climate Gate had not revealed just how big a fraud the idea was.

To be fair, there's a slight difference between the American and British pronunciation of the word so the i is actually necessary.

PC is necessary however, it is more a ruse to have us believe that racism is over when in fact (as some cons here constantly highlight by being perfect examples of it themselves) it still exists.

As for the examples pointed out by the OP, like global warning, they are ridiculous to say the least. Speaking against globar warning isn't politically incorrect. But id does make you look like an idiot for arguing against all the available scientific evidence.

You forget (3)...THAT BOTH THE FOLK IN YOUR UNIVERSE OF OFFENDED, ARE THEMSELVES WORKING FROM AN AGENDA...or, (4) The two folk in question are pathologically sensitive to views they disagree with.

Try saying the word 'colour' without the U. It is an abomination.

I have no view with aluminium. I will rarely use it.

As for Pc thought control. It should be rigiously enforced to the highest possible standard with severe punishable guidelines. (obviously not on this forum, the owners seems to hate rules)

True, but those labels do not carry the real and potential penalties that come with the lefts universe of labels, though I must say they are so overused they have lost much of their original punch.

You did imply you were against free speech...it was a valid question.

Free speech never works. It is a good idea based in idealistic virtue. But in reality word usage standards will have to be applied. Also a matter of conscience.

The individual view to speak ones mind. Although once that happens. Someone is bound to be offended. Which goes back to my original point of why free speech does not work.

You have a pretty absolute freedom to speak. Being offended is in the ears and minds of the fellow receiving the speech. Just because you do not like an idea does not place an obligation on me to avoid the idea. You don't like the content of the speech, leave.
