My view: The Liberal tactic of "shut up"

Ironic, isn't it? Liberals want conservatives to "shut up".

What's liberal about that?

Conservative: Obama's policies are harming America.
Liberal: You're a racist. Shut up !!

Conservative: Islamic Jihadists are conducting soft jihad in America.
Liberal: Why do you hate Muslims? Shut up.

Conservative: It's inappropriate for homosexuality to be taught as a normal lifestyle in schools.
Liberal: "Why do you hate gays? Shut up.

Conservative: Israel and Egypt put the blockage in place to prevent the smuggling of weapons to Hamas.
Liberal: You just want Palestinian children to starve. Shut up

Conservative: We need to drill our own oil to help prices on the world oil market to come down and so we'll be less dependent of foreign oil.
Liberal: You don't care about the environment. Shut up.

Conservative: Global warming isn't proven.
Liberal: You're stupid. Shut up.

Conservative: We have to enforce and protect our borders.
Liberal: Why do you hate Mexicans? Shut up.

Conservative: Entitlements have to be addressed or they will become insolvent.
Liberal: Why do you want to kill grandma? Shut up.

Conservative: Out of control spending is bankrupting us.
Liberal: We have to win the future and spend to end the recession. Shut up.

Conservative: Political correctness is wrong.
Liberal: It's my freedom of speech. Shut up.

The liberal sounds pretty smart in that conversation. The conservative... not so much.

Liberal: You just despise the first lady because she's black! Shut up!!

 

Well, thats about it. Being wrong on most things, PC mindset is the response they give. Ruled not by logic but by emotion and want. Also a great example in double speak, to the liberal mind (rockefeller trained) tolerance only applies for them, tolerance only applies one direction, towards their desire.

 

I agree that "shut up" is sort of inherently non-liberal. Free speech is critical.

No. To the liberal mind -- do you mind if I speak for the liberal mind, since I'm one of the people in this conversation that will admit to having one? -- tolerance is necessary toward all attitudes and expressions, including the ones you disagree with. Or as someone once put it, "For any speech to be free, all speech must be free, including the speech you hate."

This is also very true when it comes to most liberals.

 

I think what you are missing is that the Democrats have tried to work with Republicans...and walzed right into a number of traps.

They tried to make concessions for the budget, and got beat over the head with it.
They tried to cooperate and make concessions on the healcare question, and got beat over the head with it.

How many time do you think you can beat a dog over the head before it bites you?

And I tend to agree with a number of Republican points.
But I cannot stomach "The Noise Machine"

They cling to ideas they say are their constitutional rights...which are usually ideas that WAY over-step what that outdated document ever meant.

They've gone so far right that...common sense has gone the way of the Sarah Sarah ...

 

And yet conservatives seem to constantly be the ones making threads about how bad liberals are.

This is an excellent example of the "liberal tactic". If you can not address the issues, then discredit the opposition. Make the opposition look like they are crazy or brainwashed. Absolutely DO NOT give the opposition credit for having differing opinions. The only opinions that are correct are those that the democrats have. Make sure that you paint EVERY republican candidate as being a joke or crazy.

Some people on the left like to call the Republican party the party of NO-NO-NO and claim that they are only saying NO because the democrats are saying YES and that YES is that correct course of action. They also like to paint republicans as the party not willing to compromise. Well, I have seen very little compromise from the democrat side either. The only time democrats compromise is when they are unable to force their bill down the throats of the American people because some of their own are not on board which prevents them from having a majority.

 

When in recent history have you seen EITHER party work cooperatively for WE THE PEOPLE?

 

Obama's, and the progressive lefts ultimate plans for "We the People" have been fully and finally exposed by new media....and those plans are obviously something folks aren't too thrilled about, nor do they want to "work cooperatively" to attain.

You can understand that, right....or am I just a run of the mill racist for not falling in line?
