You think that the OP or the nut job in the video are making their case well? No facts, just the worst kind of personal opinion.

    *Laughs*

Well, here it is, 2 years since I wrote this OP and the "liberal" left in politics still wants anyone who opposes them to "shut up". Nothing has changed, it's only gotten worse, in my opinion.

Has anyone forced you to shut up in these 2 years? Liberals don't want you to shut up. We want you to wise up.

I disagree, but you're entitled to your opinion, sir. I think the "left" is most unwise. So we'll just have to disagree, I suppose.

Well played. But, you did not answer my question. Has someone forced you to shut up? Have you not had an opportunity to voice your opinion over the past two years?

It's less the "shut up" part and more a constant repetition of the words you put before that until all the dumb masses are convinced the liberal is right.

At a quick glance I think the op was talking about tactics.....not force. Also it was not about the op personally but a method. Why make it personal?

Whatever. I was talking to the dude. I was not talking to the entire nation.

Has anyone been made to shut up? If so, who? I think not.

I submit that the "conservative" tactic of never listening or accepting known facts is every bit as unproductive as the supposed demand to 'shut up" that the OP is concerned about.

I'm sorry. I am not sure what you are trying to say.

If you read the OP, you'll see my point was it's a tactic. It's a tactic aimed at suppression of speech and thought.

And if you read my reply to the guy who just defended you with that exact "tactic"...........you will see that I am challenging the claim. Who has successfully been silenced? The "conservative" point of view can be heard just about anywhere, just about any time, by just about anyone.

While I understand that it works for you to claim that conservatives are being persecuted and robbed of their right to free speech, if you want to convince anyone of it, you will have to provide some evidence that it is actually happening.

Yeah? How exciting! I like friends.

It's a tactic of intimidation and suppression of opposing views. You can claim it isn't, but it is. We see it in action every day from the professional left, posters on message boards across the internet, comments under online articles, and from the administration. You don't agree with me; that's fine. I too am entitled to my opinion and this exchange reminds me of an old saying:

"don't (pee) down my back and tell me it's raining".

    Have a nice day.

    Me too....

As for the topic.....the tactic does not work, as you just stated.

"Everyone has a right to express their opinions and feelings openly?

Including Muslims, homosexuals, environmentalists, and so on?"

    Taxcutter says:
They have a right to express their opinions. They do not have a right to expect respect for said opinions.

I see you have posted a greeting......suggesting that you no longer wish to discuss your topic. Too bad, as I was hoping to see some evidence that this tactic has kept anyone from expressing their opinion.
