My view: The Liberal tactic of "shut up"

I don't think so. I think you think so highly of your own opinion that you imagine that anyone who disagrees with you must be either evil or stupid.

I'm a liberal, so I don't have to think you're evil or stupid in order to disagree with you.

We're not foes, man. And you can't defeat us at any rate.

 

I don't think you guys are evil, except for those of you who are profiting from corrupt environmental and labor policies. I am like most people in that I operate on a number of different levels.

At one level I am a polemicist. Part of polemics is whipping up the emotion of the home team and demoralizing the opposing team. That's why I refer to Obama as evil on occasion.

I don't think leftists are stupid in an intellectual sense. If they were stupid they wouldn't be so powerful. Some leftists, like Alinsky, are/were so smart it's incredible.

You're right about one thing. I won't defeat. It's not within my power to defeat you. But you will be defeated by forces and processes beyond any one's control.

You folks on the left are cutting against the grain of history. You can't possibly succeed. Your numbers don't pencil out, you can't pay your bills, your public school system produces kids who can't compete, and you are in direct competition with the Chinese.

The only thing that could possibly save you is national solidarity and unity. That's the one thing you can't have.

 

Hmm…I see this same tactic used in this very thread by a lot of conservatives… Everytime a Liberal, or anyone makes a valid point against how retarded the original post is, it gets replied to with the same strategy of “shut up” Just a few examples….

“It's a fallacy to say "only one side"of National debates uses shady tactics.

I'm a Liberal who suppors fiscal responsibility, smaller Government and more social-personal freedoms. The Government has no business telling gays they can't marry or telling libertarians they can't smoke weed or telling conservatives they have to pay more in taxes to expand social programs.

This man posts a valid point and that was the only response. Not posting a response IS the same as the so called liberal approach of saying shut up.

A great example of this lame naïve ideology is the Project Housing for the poor. They stole money from hard working Americans to build housing for the poor to conveniently place them away from the well off and make themselves feel good about caring so much. Then after decades of Government malaise and mismanagement and allowing the projects to turn into rat infested drug havens, they tore them down.

We are definitely foes when you clamor for an obtrusive Government to steal more of our hard earned wealth. The irony for Liberals is that they only clamor for more intrusive government and think it is a good thing when THEIR guys are the “deciders.”

We can defeat you in the arena of ideas and facts. And we will be here to continue defeating your nonsense with the hopes of keeping morons like Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi in the margins of political power and irrelevant where they can do less damage.

I feel like I can talk to you and we can actually communicate and exchange ideas. Which is nice. When I try to talk to most liberals, it does not typically happen that way.

Pretty much. This is a pretty good example of arguing with someone who doesn't know what they are talking about when they say global warming "isn't proven". How can you argue facts against someone who doesn't understand the facts? How can you argue science against someone who thinks all of the world's greatest scientists and scientific institutions are lying?

And it is a joke to say conservatives use logic and reason to argue the validity of points. They often make absurd statements (like most of those mentioned by the OP) and then defend it with ridicule fallacies and character assassination.

 

What feeds your soul Trinnity? What do you get out of your life or how do you improve it with the expression of thoughts? What good do you bring to the plight of mankind to find peace to coexist? As a child you remember the butterflies that rolled about in your stomach and uncontollable joy that resulted from experiencing unconditional love, happiness from a good joke, peace from being wrapped in your parents arms.
