Neely was a threat and a danger to everyone around him

Actually, it was Ronald Reagan who called for this, and it was a PBS report on what went on inside the insane asylums that caused everyone to take notice and think again about forcing people into insane asylums who were not even convicted. In those days, your physician could do it, a family member can do it, and the courts were more than willing to do it. It was mostly raced based where people of autism and other mental disorders were sent and pretty much kept there with no hope and illegal experimentation.

'“He’s a hero,” said the passenger, a minority woman who has resided in New York City for over five decades. She told Fox News Digital, “It was self-defense, and I believe in my heart that he saved a lot of people that day that could have gotten hurt.”'

CRAZED OUT OF HIS MIND ON GOD KNOWS WHAT

'Multiple witnesses have said that Neely had persistently tried to shove unsuspecting individuals onto subway tracks. It took three good Samaritans to subdue him.'

HE WAS MAKING CRAZED THREATS

'“I’m sitting on a train reading my book, and, all of a sudden, I hear someone spewing this rhetoric. He said, ‘I don’t care if I have to kill an F, I will. I’ll go to jail, I’ll take a bullet,’” the witness recalled.'

THE LAW ABIDING CITIZENS RETREATED AS FAR AS THE WALLS WOULD ALLOW, AND AT THAT POINT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO RETREAT FURTHER.

'At that point, terrified passengers crowded by the exit doors in the hopes of escaping Neely, which wasn’t possible.'

“I’m looking at where we are in the tube, in the sardine can, and I’m like, ‘OK, we’re in between stations. There’s nowhere we can go,’” she said. “The people on that train, we were scared. We were scared for our lives.”

'Penny only took action when Neely began using threatening language such as “kill” and “bullet.”'

AT THAT POINT HE ENGAGED THE THREAT

'She expressed that Penny’s actions were driven by his care for people, which she considered his only “crime.” Several passengers, including herself, thanked Penny for his intervention.'

'the witness noticed that Penny appeared shaken after the altercation. She emphasized that Penny had no intention of causing harm or killing Neely, which was evident from his distraught and visibly distressed state. Despite the distress, Penny chose not to flee the scene but stayed until the authorities arrived.'

I WOULD EXPECT NOTHING LESS OF THIS BRAVE YOUNG MAN WHO SERVED IN OUR NATION'S UNIFORM.

New York City grand jurors on Wednesday indicted Daniel Penny in the death of fellow subway rider Jordan Neely, according to two sources familiar with the matter. The death last month has been a lightning rod on issues of mental health, crime and race.

The 24-year-old Marine veteran was indicted on a second-degree manslaughter charge in the May 1 confrontation with the homeless man, the sources said. A representative for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg declined to comment on the matter to NBC News. A spokesperson for Penny declined to comment to NBC News on Wednesday.

Penny and Neely were on an F train in Manhattan when Neely began engaging in "somewhat aggressive speech," witness Juan Alberto has told NBC New York.

Neely told passengers that “he was hungry, he was thirsty, that he didn’t care about anything, he didn’t care about going to jail, he didn’t care that he gets a big life sentence,” Vasquez said.'

Just like Chauvin, ignored the warning.

Neely was threatening and menacing people on the train and those people had no means to escape him. Restraining Neely was justifiable under that circumstance. The application of a choke hold does not present a "substantial" risk of death and even if it did present such a "substantial" risk then Penny would need to be aware of that. While Penny's action may have been seen as "unreasonable" by one or more people in that train car it, obviously, wasn't seen as unreasonable by others.

Bragg's office seems to have a penchant for prosecuting obvious self defense cases and that's what's happening here. In Manhattan, the DA WILL charge you with a crime if you defend yourself or others. Their preference is to allow criminal behavior as long as that behavior is conducted by blacks.

Both Chauvin and Penny ignored bystanders and both ended up charged with killing a man.

One guy was in cuffs and subdued. The other was a completely different scenario. Chauvin was clearly abusing his power. Maybe the left just views it based on who was what color (thats the only similarity). Funny though, it seems like the person who STARTS it is always usually the same race.
