    All politicians fight dirty

Most professionals have flunkie attack dogs to do the actual biting while they remain above the fray

But trump is not a blow dried finger wetting swamp creature

He does his own dirty fighting

No the new players message, is a narrow "Mind your own business, Mr. President. " rather than anything broader.

Once fans break the habit of watching pro football on Sunday they may never be the same again

That represents a loss for the sport and leads to rumors of political infighting within the team

Raider fans for instance wondering if the anti flag offensive line failed to block for the pro flag quarterback causing the team to lose

We don't agree on much, I know. But that one statement I highlighted show's maturity and discernment, so you get a rare "Like" from me.

    Cheers!

So they insult the flag as a way of teaching trump a lesson?

Thats like coming home from a bad day in the welfare line and kicking the dog

then no one should complain he isn't getting due deference in his office or getting a fair 'chance' by the press. He is getting treated no better than a flunkie attack dog, because he acts like one. Dirty fighters get more knees in the groin and more contempt for any wins they got while fighting dirty. Not that he has had many since winning the office.

He is even worse because he whines like a little baby all the time about how unfair everyone treats him.

lol as a Chargers' fan I obviously hate the Raiders, but I have quite a few "Raider Nation" close friends. It was pretty hilarious to look at their facebooks, they REALLY do think it was political.

Sorry, I can't relate, as I am, sadly, childless.

Those players have to be considered to be adults, who know what they're doing. Football is, essentially, an Amerocentric* sport. If the athletes forget that, they will get reminded.

    *Is that a word?

Except that they do not insult the flag. They do not rip it, or burn it, or defecate on it or piss on it or tear it down or even touch the thing. They kneel on one knee when the anthem is sung. Hyperbole is not attractive.

You mean, the people do not agree with you; you dismiss their opinions because they don't.

If the internet had existed in Harry Trumans day he would have caught a lot of crap- he did anyway, but journalism was a respectable profession then which it rational. However, history has found he was an excellent leader. We hire leaders to lead, not try to follow the opinion of the loudest whiner to shut them up. Trump knows better than to do that, Obama didn't. GW bush was even worse. Both side of the political isle are capable of it.

Failed to rebut? That would assume that you could actually acknowledge alternate facts.
When an unarmed person demands a battle of wits by his own rules, accommodating him is fool's play.

Now see this is a reasonable reason for football management to address the kneeling as a discipline issue. if they think that it will cause discord 'on the clock' they have a legitimate concern. The question becomes how much discord was there among the players before Trump made this into a cultural litmus test.

Trump is the loudest whiner. He is the very definition of the 'special snowflake' mentality. .

They should've found a better way.

I didn't care what their message was. I saw hate for America, and stuck my fingers in my ears, saying: lalalala after that. Some things are off limits to me. That's one.

Or it would assume that there was a potential for rebuttal that was recognized by the opposition. In any case, my post stands unrebutted. and you still clearly need to look up the definition of slander, and reread some history books before making any assertions about how politicians including presidents have been normally treated in this country.

It is never ever smart to attack someone who criticizes Donald Trump on character grounds or lack thereof . Nobody in their right mind wants to be in the position to defend either Trump's character or this presidents highbrow standards of ' civil debate' so the inevitable hypocrisy accusation will always follow.

Wait ..... what did I do?

I was pointing out that Trump still won even though the "polls" all said the country hated him. Not sure how you created an anti-Trump message out of that....

You are free to vote for whomever you want and I think I do a better job than most at being able to empathize with both sides. But hyper partisans screaming like this without even reading (perhaps understanding?) what is in front of them is part of the problem.

Let's keep something in mind. The White House and Trumpians want this to be about respect for the flag and country. That is absurd. It is not about respect for flag and country. It is about Trump's moronic statements. Period.

Before a fire-breathing nearly all-white crowd, his base, in Alabama Trump called nine black football players sonsabitches for taking a knee during the anthem. He wasn't through. He then called on NFL owners to fire those nine black football players. He still wasn't through. Then he called on all Americans to boycott their favorite pastime on Sunday, NFL football.

That is what this is all about.

Do you know what is really stupid? No doubt in my mind, during the week before Trump's moronic, racial comments, most Trumpians enjoyed watching their favorite team on TV or at stadiums across the country. After Trump's dumbass remarks, Trumpians are highly critical of their favorite football team and decided not to watch pro football anymore.

I can't think of anything more stupid.

Yes, that's all we need. So we can go from being the premier country in the world to China, North Korea, or Cuba where political rights are non-existent. And I'm sure making $200 per year will be plenty to support a family of four.

Sounds like a blast. You are brilliant.

That's a load of what might be called pure artificial fertilizer. The only thing it makes grow is hate and bad manners.

Nobody who takes the liberties you do to attack him on the basis of the ways news is biased these day has any character at all in my opinion, and no credibility. Of course you can tell yourself whatever you want, self-deception is your privilege.

I will judge Trump on the basis of what he accomplishes given the circumstance, how well he protects the right of honorable men and women, how well he protects the nation, and how effectively he steers it to economic growth- in other words, performance counts. As an long-time and successful investor and businessman I know a fair amount about the economic process, and Trump presidency has instilled the investment world with confidence in the future, and a string of record stock highs that started the day after election and hasn't stopped.
This means a strong future in terms of jobs, wages, productivity and stability. You have been too busy whining to notice that, but the people who make things happen in the country are highly aware of it. It's unfortunate that we cannot separate the benefits of that, so that people in your position wouldn't have to gain from them. I'm sure you would feel better. In my opinion you have nothing of value to say or contribute, so I have nothing more to say to you- except to say, read the line below in blue text.
