Vice-President Pence and Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones have had the courage to stand up for flag and country thus the back has been broken in the NFL protest. It's over folks. Oh, there will be a few holdouts but it's now over. Some in the NFL exercised their rights and these two men exercised their rights. Majority of Americans are with them. The NFL protest had it's day.

So the big men who play with their balls will now stand?

Isn't that special. I hope they all quit.

They have had their whine time, and found out that the majority of Americans dont agree with them. Time to put away that nonsense and become adults.

They won't quit. Americans don't need them, they need Americans. Pence and Jones are saying because of a few rogue cops Kap and his sheep should not disrespect our national anthem and our flag? Most Americans agree with Pence and Jones.

Well, if one were to read all the twitter feeds on this issue-I would say the majority of Americans saw the Pence thing for what it was----A reality game episode thought up by trump----Yeah,pretty stupid & childish, eh!!! And one of these 2 people have the codes to our nuclear arsenal----

I would like to point out that the only reason so many NFL players, owners, and staff were willing to engage in the protest recently is because Trump called for them to be fired or suspended.

Also, Pence spent millions of taxpayer dollars to stage a fake patriotic political stunt and then went to fundraise for a congressman that is a Russian loyalist.

Nazis really hate Russia and Russians. Maybe that is the BEST way to figure who the real fascists and Nazis in the USA are - those who agree with Dixiecrat KKK racist Hilary Clinton that we should go to military war against Russia to win the war that their guy Hitler couldn't.

I am friends's with three starting NFL players, one of them actually a Pro Bowler.

They are truly amazing humans in most cases, but if they lost their job in NFL, most of them would be the dregs of society. They are are so used to using the money the make as a "gauge" that says their opinions and feelings matter more than the general public. This would all end, the majority of them would have zero skills and then their political ideals would mean absolutely nothing.

I am shocked at how quickly they are harming their own cause

You are stretching w/o proof. Pence, Trump, and Jones are patriotic people and Pence said it all when he walked out. But if you want to defend the people who disrespect our flag and anthem then be my guest. In fact I served in the military to give you the right to disrespect our country. I put my life on the line to give you this right and I respect your right. And two-thirds of my military hitch I received hazardous duty pay to defend our country. I stand for country. The greatest country in the history of the world.

It's not about defending those who disrespect the flag but merely pointing out logic.

Pence knew damn well people were going to protest during the national anthem at that ballgame, it's not exactly breaking news that some players do that. It's been front page news for weeks that was only knocked off the front page after the Vegas incident. At least one player from virtually every team in the league protests during the national anthem....

He showed up there knowing full well that he was going to stand up and leave before the game even started. Political stunt is absolutely correct. I get why he did it, to actually show himself as the Vice President publicly deciding to take a stand and walk out of the game in hopes to use his fame and position to inspire others to do the same. But to pretend this wasn't a pre-planned staged event is being ridiculous.

Jerry Jones cares about money more than he cares about respect or lack of respect for the flag or the national anthem. He took a hard stance now because his finances are in jeopardy because of this whole thing. NFL has dropped from first to last place among major sports in the US in regards to favorable opinion by fans. Ratings are declining and revenue is declining much of which can be directly attributed to NFL players protesting during the national anthem. If Jerry Jones honestly truly in his heart cared about his players respecting the flag then he would have taken a stand when they first started doing this. He didn't because he didn't want to alienate himself from his players or punish them for doing this by benching them back then. Benched key players = less likely to win games.

Fast forward to today when Jerry IS losing money because he allowed this to continue, NOW he decides to take a stand under the guise of patriotism because his wallet is taking a hit.

He ain't fooling nobody. Yes I do believe Jerry had a problem with his players disrespecting the flag but the evidence shows that he didn't have a big enough problem with it to do anything about it. Now that his wallet is in jeopardy he decides to care.

Jerry is a businessman first and a patriot second. If he held his beliefs as strongly as he claims then he would have shut this down from day 1 regardless of the consequences. He, however, did not.

Not to mention it helped push Trumps poll numbers back up. Being on the side of the majority of Americans and what they believe about the Flag and Anthem. Just like that and Trump is back up around where he was at 45%.

Pre-game posture has so many in a tizzy, so many folks in a hissysnit about posing during a song.

Couldn't everybody just compromise and agree to slouch?

Which is perfectly fine with me. I oppose players protesting during the national anthem just like most other Americans. I just wish folks would stop pretending that Pence made some on the spot quick decision to take a stand and walk out when it is blatantly obvious that this entire thing was planned by him well before he arrived to the game and left...

Now if the VP were attending the game when Kaepernick did this the first time then decided to up and walk out then that would be a completely different story and actually worthy of the praise he is getting.

I think that since Colin Kaepernick started this clown show, the 49ers have won 2 season games. Thanks a lot Colin.

So you believe Pence is a psychic? The Dallas Cowboys aren't going to sit or kneel any longer. Maybe Pence thought the players at this game wouldn't either because of the falling approval ratings of the NFL.

ROFL!! You celebrate the players disrespecting the flag and don't consider it to be a political stunt but believe Pence did a political stunt. Well one man's protest is another man's political stunt. Pence was protesting just as much as the players were protesting.

You can *NOT* have your cake and eat it too!

Jerry Jones cares about the livlihood of all those who benefit from being associated with the NFL. Employees of sponsors, Vendors of refreshments at the game. Vendors of branded clothing gear. And on and on and on ......

Your viewpoint is why so many of the working class abandoned the Marxist Democrats in 2016. You simply don't care about the common man and haven't for 50 years!

When his wallet takes a hit a whole lot of people take a hit in their wallet! All you are demonstrating is that you don't care about anything except class warfare and castigating the rich. To hell with everyone else. Let'em eat cake, right?

Of *course* he is a businessman first! It is his kind of businessman the employs a huge percentage of the people in this country. Of course you don't care about the working person, right?

Good. Does this mean all the faux outrage and whining is over, and we won't have to suffer through President Trump's unhealthy obsession with the NFL and his marching orders being sent to his loyal foot soldiers to piss, moan and carry on for weeks, as everyone has been?

i don't think of Mike Pence as a fan of the 49ers. Why fly to see them play when Colin started his clown show?

The kneeling has gone on long enough. They don't like the American flag, fine. i don't have to like such players either.
