"Alright, students ... today we are going to learn about Martin Luther King. He was a guy who complained about something, but I can't
tell you what he was complaining about because that might offend some of you ...".

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Critical_race_theory
I've found that most people don't really understand what critical race theory is. They read someone else's interpretation of it and go with that, but there are a lot of conservative talking heads and politicians who are using it as a weapon. The "fear factor".
Liberals use the inclusiveness and progressive nature of people, and conservatives have been using the fear and protective nature to sell their products.

It's banning critical race theory, a false idea, not history.

It's funny how ignorant people can be on this.

You post as if it wasn't leftists that invented "micro-aggressions", trigger warnings, and a constant need to take offense at every little thing.

    from your link..

" aspects of CRT have been criticized by "legal scholars and jurists from across the political spectrum."[33] Criticism of CRT has focused on its emphasis on storytelling, its critique of the merit principle and of objective truth, and its thesis of the voice of color.[139] Critics say it contains a "postmodernist-inspired skepticism of objectivity and truth", and has a tendency to interpret "any racial inequity or imbalance [...] as proof of institutional racism and as grounds for directly imposing racially equitable outcomes in those realms"

"law professors Daniel A. Farber and Suzanna Sherry criticized CRT for basing its claims on personal narrative and for its lack of testable hypotheses and measurable data."

I didn't say it was perfect, in fact, from what I've seen at least some of it I disagree with.
My point being that most critics of it don't really understand it. I expect that some of its proponents don't either.
There is a lot of stuff I don't agree with, religion for example. But I don't care to eliminate it just because of that. And it isn't being taught in public high schools.

    CRT is false
This is something people say when they don't understand it but wish to defend it
All the proponents either don't understand, wish to virtue signal, or are deceptive.
I would support eliminating a religious influence in school that "taught" falsehoods.

You clearly have not been reading headlines lately:
    "threat to our democracy"
    "far right extremists"
    "dangerous"
and the latest one: "Christian fascists"

CRT, or Critical Race Theory, isn't intended to be true or false, but a line of thinking as in a theory.
And I'm not necessarily defending it, just wanted to point out the reality when it seems many are going on about it without actually understanding it, both directions sometimes. It was originally intended for law students to study the formation of laws, not used as a bludgeon.
I personally think the theorists are putting too much emphasis on slavery being the motivation for all laws and behaviors. Slavery is bad, but it isn't the impetus for all we are, IN MY OPINION.
BTW, I think all religion is a falsehood, so.............

if your line of thinking is based on falsehoods then it's not really a theory.

It would be like calling astrology a theory.
not understanding the falsehoods, circular reasoning and other self-refuting components of it means you cannot articulate the reality you do not know.
I understand it's use I'm not sure how it could be functional or useful in that regard but if that's all it was used for I doubt anybody would care or even know about it.
that's the only issue you found with it? What about the concept that systems of oppression are the only way to fight oppression?

It's so incredibly self refuting I don't know how you're not laughing your ass off reading about it if you even are.
Like Scientology? I would consider crtl on the same lines as Scientology if we want to compare it to religion.

You clearly have been swimming in right wing media cess pool that is pumping up the rhetoric for the simple reason that it sells

How does the study of something encourage racism that happened in the past ?

Wow, you got a "marxist" in there, thats gotta be worth 5000 points in Conservative Bingo[/QUOTE]
False, it’s the spreading of racism and bigotry. It’s a call to action fort Marxist change. It gives call to action to shun those who disagree, it teaches white Kids to believe false notions of privilege. Etc.

You can talk absolutely the reasons behind the holocaust. This doesn’t prevent that. The logical inconsistency you think exists…doesn’t lol. Your misrepresentation about what this does is not my fault. You can talk about why the holocaust happened without teaching racism and bigotry. I haven’t gone from one thing to another, that’s your misrepresentation. My position has remained unchanged and objectively correct
