    Obama knows what the market wants better than multi-million dollar product market research departments. I guess that comes from hijacking the assets of two auto companies from the secured creditors. And WTF are you folks trying to do? Make money?

    This is an abomination and yet informative. Obama wants private industry to help out his oil-free agenda and sacrifice profits to do it. Dick Obama has a lot to learn.

    GM is no longer a for profit company. They are now a socially conscious business entity whose purpose is to present to market socially acceptable, politically correct, green machines. Such products are conceived without regard for aesthetics or performance, but rather for safety and eco-friendliness.

    Just what kind of performance will an automobile that gets 54 mpg provide? Barring any radical advances in technology overnight, these cars will be performance nightmares. The only people who will be driving fun high performance cars will be the ruling elites. In other words, they will be as exciting as the liberals themselves.

    So lets ask Obama how his Volts are selling.

    Obama needs to shut up and let people decide what they want and let the markets work.

    I just put $900 worth of brakes on my 2000 GMC Sierra with a 5.3 V8 with 94,000 miles on it. I will not be buying a new vehicle anytime soon.

    My wife's 2006 STS cadillac only has 30,000 miles on it. My 2011 Harley Ultra Limited has 4,000 miles.

    So you see I will drive what I have and will not let a failed president tell me what to drive.

    By the way I put ethanol free gas in my Harley and pick up truck

    I have a truck that will happily run on almost anything flammable, including (but not limited to) heating oil, jet fuel, K1 kerosene, and cooking oil. My wife ALSO has a truck capable of the same, as well as a car that gets 53MPG. Go for it.
