    Youtube never forgets.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kuTG19Cu_Q&feature=player_embedded"]Obama says adding $4 trillion to debt is unpatriotic[/ame]

So if Obama feels that adding $4 trillion to the debt in 8 years is unpatriotic, what does his adding $4 trillion to the debt in 2.5 years equate to...treason? Terrorism?

Boy, the campaign ads just write themselves, eh?

The difference is the things Obama wanted to do would add trillion in new reveneue that would close the deficate and stop new debt from arrising.

Bush simply gave all the money to rich people and then borrowed money from China to cover the costs.

From Barack Obama: “The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents, No. 43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic.”

They can't defend him on this point. His hypocrisy is so blatant, not even their amazing ability to spin reality into pure liberal fiction can fool anybody, so they don't even try. They come in, obfuscate, and redirect the conversation to something else as soon as they are able. Liberal tactics 101.

As for the OP. I'm sure 4 trillion to Obama was unpatriotic. You have to cross the 6 trillion dollar threshold before you are a true Patriot, in Barack's world.

Obama didn't create the $4 trillion, the recession created much of it(See President Bush about that). Even before Obama became President the CBO predicted the deficit would be $1.2 trillion.

That's some fancy prediction by the CBO. The deficit stands AT $1,415 TRILLION as of TODAY and there are still 36 days left in this FY 2011. [And the Democrat controlled SENATE still has not passed a budget for FY 2012, or FY 2011, or FY 2010]

Now the deficit stands at $1,415 trillion and you CLAIM that it is the recession causing the deficit. That would mean lower revenue is causing the deficit, right? In FY 2007 we had a deficit of $161 billion. Sounds like tip money compared to today doesn't it? But that was too high itself. How does our revenue today compare to the higher revenue when we had a $161 billion deficit instead of today's $1,415 TRILLION deficit? Well the revenue IS lower. It projects that by the end of this FY in 36 days our Federal revenue will be $85 billion lower than it was in FY 2007. So IF our deficit now was $85 billion more than the $161 billion it was before the recession, or $246 billion, we'd have to call it "even." But the deficit projects to be about 10 TIMES higher than before the recession. Almost the same revenue, 10 times more overspending is the only way to explain that.

Obama is as much as fault for HIS 4 trillion on his watch, as the 4 trillion he blamed on Bush that occured on Bush's watch...

I love how the left is still slamming Bush for his 4 trillion over an 8 year period, when Obama has racked up the same amount in 2.5 years.

Their hypocrisy simply has no limits.

But the brainpower of cons sure does, the distance from their brain to their nose is way beyond the limit.
Just think how better off we'd be if Obama had taken over from Clinton instead of taking over after 8 years from the crud that drove the National car deep into a ditch, and ran away.

How is it hypocrisy? Its still 4 trillion dollars pissed away.. Dont forget that Bush administration didnt include war spending in the budget.. ever.. it was all done with backdoor supplemental war spending... Obama was too stupid not to use the same trick to pad his books. So how is pointing out that Bush is a crook negating the fact that he was /is a crook.. just as much as your hated Obama?

Halarious to see Neo-cons try to claim fiscal conservatism as a rightwinger trait..

It's hypocritical because Obama says that Bush racking up a $4 trillion dollar deficit in 8 years is unpatriotic.

Then he turns around and has - after fiscal year 2011 - racked up way more then that in only 3 years.

BO is an incompetent man and a hypocrite. Yes, in 2008 he besmirked GW and his administration. Boy oh boy, I am guessing he's about to choke on his own words...not that he will ever admit it.
But as long as we can butter up the Chinese for yet another credit card, he will continue to sell out our Country.
I am really beginning to wonder how deep in debt we REALLY are, given the hold the Chinese have over us.

Agreed.. to a certain point. Obama could have chosen a different route .. a more equitable and intelligent approach that didnt leave the taxpayer high and dry. He submitted to those with concerns for the plutocracy first and foremost. I agree that he is a hypocrite. The fact that Obama added 4 trillion to the Deficit isnt the deciding factor in his hypocrisy.. that money was going to have to be spent one way or another in order to keep this country afloat.. its the way he supported spending that money that (*)(*)(*)(*)ed him.

By the same note.. just about every republican in the senate and the congress is just as much a hypocrite. They were here before Obama was president. Its hypocrisy to stand underneath a label banner and point at half the reason we are in a world of (*)(*)(*)(*) and try to claim the moral high ground.

The defacto leader of the Repugnicans is satisfied with the fiscal future of this nation .. he has no problem with what is coming dwn the pike

Its all going as planned as far as the status -quo republicans are concerned
