Was down there myself actually. Am returning to NYC tomorrow and am going to bring some campaign for liberty folk down there.

Anyway, what do you guys think of the event and the supposed lack of media coverage?

It's a non event..A few hundred cranks of the far right and left being hauled off a few score at a time as they make minor trouble.

That's right, while a few million cranks from the center bend over and spread their legs further while being raped. Elect a new globalist Wall Street crony to president and fight among themselves about non-issues while the nation goes down the toilet.

I think the bankers and their political partners should be punished for their fraud and have their assets confiscated to pay off our pseudo-debt that they created.

Like almost every protest, its completely useless, but enjoy the exercise of your Constitutional rights to freedom of speech and assembly. I'll enjoy my right to call you fools.

No (*)(*)(*)(*). They ought to occupy DC. That's where the real bogey men reside. But it's much more sexy and happening to go after Obama's Fat Cats. LMAO, childish chumps playing right into the left.

Wall Street is DC. There's nothing "left" about not wanting failures of the wealthy dumped on the entire population. Quite a form of socialism there, I heard that right wingers don't like socialism.

Good to protest against Wall Street. I think both left and right can agree that intertwining corporate/government corruption is bad.

    The Great American Bubble Machine

I think right and left can also agree that we should put America first and stop fighting wars for Israel.

Peaceful assemblies to oppose nation-building abroad while our own country collapses can only be beneficial.

Good or bad, a protest won't stop the Wall St/DC corruption.

    What if the protest grew?

Are you an opponent of Wall St./D.C. corruption? Is there a strategy you prefer?

What amazes me the most is that a lot of these groups are funded either directly or indirectly by George Soros. A Billionaire who made his money, not by creating goods or providing services, but by "taking down" currencies around the world, including England, the old Yugoslavia, Singapore and others.

While there's nothing inherently wrong with profiting off of speculation, the difference with Soros is that he ACTIVELY participates in degenerating currencies. This is why EVERY group that he funds here in the U.S. is AGAINST balancing the budget and FOR runaway spending. It makes his 11 TONS of gold worth more and more, while the useless idiots he funds get poorer and poorer.

It don't see it growing, just a personal opinion, good luck to you if that's your chosen course.

I would rather see term limits in DC, higher caliber candidates running for office, massive government spending cuts, and tax cuts to decrease the amount of tax dollars the government can waste and collude with Wall St interests.

What does that have to do with anything about Occupying Wall Street? Most of the people there are just angry unemployed people.

But yes, Soros is a financial terrorist.

I am looking for common ground.

How about large peaceful assemblies that call for: 1) an end to corporate welfare 2) bringing the troops home and 3) hanging George Soros from the nearest tree (by his testicles)?

Left wing demonstrators and Tea Partiers both cordially invited.

Sorry, but I haven't been paying attention to this "event". In fact, other than a headline I saw somewhere (maybe Drudge), this is first time I've seen it mentioned.
Exactly what are you protesting for and/or who are protesting against?

Everyone's there for different reasons, here are mine.

I'm protesting fascist economic policies such as bailouts, massive subsidies, lack of economic due process in regulations, and the corrupt regulatory bodies that protect big business from smaller competitors.

The Federal Reserve and it's cartel structure and fractional reserve banking.

TARP, QE1, QE2, and Operation Twist and all taxpayer money that is unconstitutionally used to alter the markets artifitially.

The incestuous inseperability has these protestors confused on where to place their ire....on those who lobby for preferential treatment...or those who possess the power to grant it.

Since leftists bow at the alter of big government, it's not difficult to determine why they're on Wall Street
