Once at least some money is allocated for an actual wall, the Federal courts can't stop Trump from taking the DOD money allocated for Syria and moving it.

He has also said that he might charge an excise tax on money being sent back to Mexico via Western Union and such.

In any even, there are still many other options to be able to garnish the money for the wall.

The highest plausible numbers on the cost of illegal immigration is around 35-50 billion a year but that is for ones already in the country. Even if a wall stopped 100% of illegal entries — which is impossible as almost 60% are visa overstays, this number would not decrease.

Furthermore a wall costing 5 billion would cover less that 700 miles of our almost 2000 mile border. That 5 billion amount takes many liberties such as eminent domain not being challenged. Plus this is the government we are talking about, 5 billion will likely double or triple due to cost overruns.

We need to make it miserable for them to live here; make it impossible for them to find work (everify, major penalties for employers), ending all financial aid including schooling, make it where they cannot buy a home or rent an apartment, speed up deportations, end birthright citizenship if neither parent is a US citizen. When they cannot get an apartment (paid for by taxpayers), turn on their utilities, or find a job they will return to their country of origin.

We can use that 5 billion on drones for surveillance and get to work on our againg infrastructure.
