The first job of the Federal government is to protect its citizens, and the Left is refusing to do so in order to gain political points. But, as has happened so often in the past, Donald Trump is being underestimated. This is a game he can win.

His campaign website said he would take executive action on day 1 to force Mexico to pay, and that they would cave in by day 3.

He hasn't done a thing to try to make Mexico pay (undoubtedly because it was all a big lie).

He promised that Mexico would pay for the wall - that American taxpayers would NOT have to pay for it. If he can get Mexico to pay, he can have his wall. Until then, Democrats will continue to support more cost-effective ways of securing the border.

If they're not prepared to listen, they should be relieved of their duties. This Trump Derangement Syndrome has gone too far and it's the Dems that are getting laughed at.

 

Word is one of their first actions is to pass an appropriations bill that has little money in it for the wall. This has zero chance of even being brought up in the Senate, and they know it.

Doing what is right for the country, as opposed to just the New Democratic Party and it's constituency appears to be the only thing they plan to do.
