I see you don’t understand what an analogy is. An analogy is a logical comparison, not a literal one.

Now, having been educated in analogies, show me you understand them by telling me what my point was.

    Except it isn’t logical
    Or even really a comparison
The only item even similar is they both have children involved (and not even really the same age bracket as I don’t see a 16 year old throwing a tantrum over candy but they might kill themselves over this issue.

If you want to educate someone on what an analogy is — start with yourself.

You were trying to compare mental illness that can sometimes lead to suicide along with recommend treatment to medical professionals in consultation with their legal guardians with a child throwing a temper tantrum.

Which is so absurdly short sighted and naïve that it bordered on me thinking you were joking. Then I realized who I was talking to. And you still were not able to answer my question, should the government dictate healthcare against medical advice? Or you can change it to candy if it helps.

I understand Lefties have a real hard time with logic so it’s not surprising you have no idea how analogies work, let alone how to decipher one. The best you can come up with is ‘logic? I see no logic!’

Yeah, no kidding you don’t. Sorry but when it comes to comparisons I’m playing chess. You can’t get past checkers.

oops, I did it again! Great, now you’re going to think we are playing board games and will be very confused! I’m so sorry to keep doing this to you!

Yawn, if you are going to try and insult me — you are going to have to do better.

This is almost as pathetic as you now needing to drag the discussion to a poster and not the topic because you cannot even make a point.

How sad. That you think you are doing anything here but exposing yourself is kind of amusing though.

Let me know if you find the capacity to return to the topic, until then enjoy your chess game played with yourself.

I made a point. You’re the one with a problem with seeing it.

Edit: you know what would be a fun excercise? You making your own analogy. It can be any kind of an analogy whatsoever. Let’s see what you can do

Do you have a study on the long-term effects of these drugs?

No. There are no long-term studies. Kids are not lab rats. There is no excuse for telling children that they were born defective and need drugs and surgery to "fix".

Until around age 25, they do not have the ability to process information in a way that takes long term consequences into account.

The only ones telling kids they are "born defective" is the Ohio State Senate....

You are incorrect. When someone is experiencing gender dysphoria, they are vulnerable to the parents and doctors, who impose their beliefs on those unable to decide for themselves. The only person not involved in the decision is the adult, who was permanently altered as a child. If you are an adult and can afford gender reassignment surgery, I have no objection.

They do. I would never allow unnecessary, irreversible cosmetic surgery on someone lacking the ability to consider the long term consequences. Permanently removing healthy body parts for the purpose of projecting an image of femininity/masculinity to others does not address the underlying issue. Do you believe these body parts are responsible for the thoughts/feelings they are having?
