To be totally fair, the statistics are much less white if you are looking at the younger generation. (Since whites have been having fewer children and a much larger percent of the white population are old)
If the town is 72% white, I'd bet you money not even 52% of the students in the school are white.

For a couple of years now, many of us have been saying that teaching kids about transgenderism is not ramming it down their throats but, rather, teaching them empathy and acceptance of people who are not like them. Sounds like that teaching would have save a life here.

same sex marriage pretty much became the law of the land in 2015 in the USA..

and about 40 other modern world countries have also passed laws making same sex marriage legal

in todays world, my guess is most public schools have at least one child with same sex parents

some teachers attempted teach acceptance of those children not living in a traditional household..
