I disagree. I think Trump should be charged for ALL his crimes. I don't consider Biden's DOJ the gold standard. They have been dragging their feet. They have lagged behind everybody else: the Manhattan DA, the January 6 Committee... I think the reason why they didn't charge him is because they didn't want the political consequences for felonies that might only represent a few years. But jury trial isn't about how many years he'll be in prison or about political consequences. It's about the facts. If the facts prove he committed the crime, then the jury will have to hold him accountable.

    Not according to NY law
Falsifying business records is a felony in New York when there is an “intent to defraud” that includes an intent to “commit another crime or to aid or conceal” a crime.”

What other crime was Trump trying to commit, aid, or conceal?

    Who was defrauded?

I doubt that. The more charges brought the more serious tRaitor tRump’s predicament becomes.

Just the celebration from the left proves that these are political charges.

    "We finally got him!"

I am not celebrating. But I would be celebrating if he were charged with something I think he ought to he charged with. Because he’s committed crimes he should answer for. Just not this one.

I’m not a legal expert so I have no idea if this is a “strong indictment”. In the end it may not be.
What is your proof statute of limitations ran out?
You don’t think Trump was instructed to what the charges are while in court? Do you think it was kept secret from him? I’m no legal expert but I would think that can’t be done.

Maybe for misdemeanors but not for felonies. But NY state has a statute that suspends the statute of limitations if the person permanently leaves the state for any reason. And the former governor Cuamo also put a hold on statute expiration for about 18 months during the Covid Pandemic.

the problem with the trump arraignment is that there is no GAG Order.

the problem with the trump arraignment is that he was not remanded to riker's island or to epstein's old cell, the one without the cameras or guards who are awake.

the problem with trump's arraignment is that he still las a passport, an airplane, and a pilot. (i may be wrong about the passport, but he would not need one in russia, saudi arabia, dubai or israel.)

Already addressed your specious claim about about the SOL and Bragg would not be jumping through these hoops if it applied.

No such crime exists, but if it did, it would still be Federal.

We'll see in court if Braggs claim it is also state hold up.
And we would probally have a Federal case if Barr didn't shut it down.

"Given the circumstances, this case has the feel of zealous prosecutors minutely examining all possibilities to find some violation of the law."

What circumstances? This is a case of someone committing lessor crimes in the furtherance of larger crimes. One being an enormous crime, no matter the applicable statute. That being defrauding voters in a prez election.
