Correction: Anyone who rejects this payment Jesus made for them because of disbelief will be forever separated from God for all eternity....

That again is simply your opinion

Note. That's not what the Hebrew says in Exodus.

The theist can say that 'god' is not a creature all they wish, but they would be wrong.

    creature

Since 'god' is an imaginary creature, small children or 'stupid atheists' are free to give this creature any attributes they want, same with the stupid theists, such as the creator of all.

Where do theists go when you ask them simple questions about their faith? Why is it impossible for them to simply answer questions in a timely manner. No wonder people in the bible had to live for 900 years, that's about when youll get an answer from them.
I have already established that theists are in disagreement over this. Im trying to figure out which one of them wins the debate.
One says god only punishes evil people but another says I will not get into heaven even though I am not evil. (a punishment) Additionally they have also stated evil people can get into heaven if they accept god another striking contradiction.
SO, I am not evil, if I don't accept god when I die what happens to me? (and remember theists have stated god only punishes evil)

The writings of Plato and Socrates were independently verified as accurate creations by multiple sources and are generally considered fictional accounts an philosophical musings to begin with, thus they are not tested for "Truth".
The biblical texts would be fine if evaluated in the same light, but instead literalists claim they are akin to history books.

The "Histories" of the Bible(s) cannot be accurate as many of the stories are simple impossible in our physical reality and are thus dismissed.

How is it a sacrifice if he knew his fleshy death was only temporary? Seems to me.. Jesus would have traded his god soul to satan in exchange for everybody else's. For all of eternity would his soul been tormented instead of ours. But then again, if I was god, I would have never let satan abuse my chillrinz in the first place. And needing to send my super son in to rescue them.

You mean his symbolic superficial death? [rhetorical]

This is nothing but a perpetuation of the New Testament lie started with Constantine. After all.. a state religion doesn't work to keep the peoples in line if there is no horrible consequence for not following the rules.

Ref. Post #723: Since all of the nations that existed with Adam & Eve existed after Noah's flood maybe they were enclosed in water-proof domes during the deluge. Or maybe Noah found room for them on his ark. In any case they seem to have made it through the flood without too much damage.

There is NO evidence for a worldwide flood... there is however a flood footprint for the Euphrates River Basin.

It makes every sense in fact dolphins are more intelligent than apes. Human babies maybe less intelligent than baby apes but human babies will grow to become more intelligent than gown apes. Baby apes intelligence will remain stagnant not humans.

Humans as you said gain more knowledge and wisdom you forgot and allow me to add to your incomplete assessment that apes don't gain wisdom or knowledge.

You can not ignore how modern science has advance and learn more about evolution
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambrian_explosion
The Cambrian Period witnessed the most rapid and widespread diversification of life in Earth's history, known as the Cambrian explosion, in which most modern phyla first appeared.

The seemingly rapid appearance of fossils in the “Primordial Strata” was noted as early as the 1840s,[9] and in 1859 Charles Darwin discussed it as one of the main objections that could be made against the theory of evolution by natural selection.[10] The long-running puzzlement about the appearance of the Cambrian fauna, seemingly abruptly and from nowhere, centers on three key points: whether there really was a mass diversification of complex organisms over a relatively short period of time during the early Cambrian; what might have caused such rapid change; and what it would imply about the origin of animal life. Interpretation is difficult due to a limited supply of evidence, based mainly on an incomplete fossil record and chemical signatures remaining in Cambrian rocks.

Phylogenetic analysis has been used to support the view that during the Cambrian radiation metazoa evolved monophyletically from a single common ancestor: flagellated colonial protists similar to modern choanoflagellates.

IMO the problem is that atheist just can not accept that Christian accept science.
We Christians have no problem with atheist accepting science but they have problem with us accepting science.

Jesus do not have to claim He is God because he is God. God unlike men God does not demand to be worship God educate men to recognize Him and many men did recognize God after God reveal Himself.

That is according to Pat Robertson not according to God.
God has already given good men a fighting chance now it is up to men to fight, contain and defeat evil forces here on earth.

Simple put it, you are not evil and yet you reject God with all your hearts so when you die God tried to welcome you in Heaven for you were a good person when you were alive but you rejected God's offer to enter Heaven so you chose to go to Hell.

You never addressed the verses I posted from Matt other than saying "the word works is not mentioned".

I you do not know what works is it is difficult to have a conversation on the subject.

My mistake in the last post. Paul gave a salvation by faith formulation.

Islam claims that the Qu'ran is the word of God, Hindoo's the Bhagavad Gita, Incorp his interpretations from the Holy Spirit, and the fundamentalists who speak in tongues.

Do you believe all of the aforementioned is the word of God as well ?

Noah of Genesis was just a made up fictional character.

There were floods in the past but there was no Global flood during the Bible timeline. There are numerous events that predate the Bible timeline that had a global impact. Various extinction events for example. When you dig into the earth all over the world you find the same layer (asteroid impact for example).

There is no such flood layer in the past 5-8 thousand years.
There was no big extinction event where all land animals various regions went extinct.

The creation and flood story in the Genesis is based on much older Sumerian myths.

LOL You talking science is like a Chinese person who has never taken a French lesson trying to speak French.

Your idea that someone with a degree in chemistry/microbiology keeps current on all aspects of chemistry and microbiology is proof of your ignorance.

It is true there is semantic contention over the word "fittest" but this is for reasons you do not understand. My description of the method by which natural selection leads to evolution was accurate.

This link describes why there word "fittest" fell out of favor an why it is not a "complete description". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Survival_of_the_fittest

The more phraseology is given below.

As you can see the description of how genetic mutation leads to evolution through natural selection is that same as that given by me previously.

Having a science degree does not mean that one knows everything. It does however help one to understand scientific explanations.

Many folks that do not have science degree's can also understand scientific explanations but clearly you are not one of these people.

What is interesting is that Terah, Abrams Father, worships "other Gods". Presumably this would be the Sumerian Pantheon (El, Enlil Creator God, Father, and so on) and various other Gods of the pantheon.

As you state, Noah is still alive at both Terah and Abram's birth. Another thing the Bible states is that all the rest of Terah's ancestors are also still alive while Terah is walking the earth.

How then do we explain that Terah is worshiping other Gods when ancestors of all humanity are still alive ? The other people living around Terah are also ancestors of Shem and would know that the Fathers of all humanity are still alive.

Why is there no mention of these ancestors in the creation stories of the Sumerians/Babylonians/Assyrians ( roughly 2000 BC according to the Bible timeline) .

These folks have creation stories, but there is no mention of Noah or Shem being fathers of all humanity ? Their story does not describe this at all ?

The Sumerians had king lists that went back tens of thousands of years. http://www.ancient-origins.net/myth...ns-after-more-century-research-001287#!btSVd7

Oh, but they do. They've learnt many things. You should watch more nature progammes. They're not as unintelligent as you make them out to be. Man has the advantage of being ahead in the race but there is no reason chimps should not progress in the future.

You have never answered how the study invalidates evolution. The study does no such thing.

You do not even understand the Christian concept of "works" (claiming that if the actual word "works" is not mentioned in Matt 5-7 then there is no works based salvation formulation - even though all the things Jesus describes are defined as works by the Christology" despite your claim that you attended a seminary.

Forgive me for not taking your ridiculous claims, about a study you did not understand in relation to a subject you do not understand, seriously.

Not true. Santa derives from Saint Nicholas. He was an early saint (3rd - 4th century) who gave all his possessions as gifts to the poor, and is attributed with many miracles.

    Mitt quote #693

    I
Not true. Santa is based on St Nicholas (3-4th cent). A Saint that gave away all his possessions as gifts to the poor, was imprisoned, released, attended the council of Nicea. Many miracles are attributed to him.

Yeah, I hear ya prospect good post but the thing about Jesus' sacrifice is that it was made to benefit all of mankind, not just for one person or a select few and that's why it's the greatest ever sacrifice in the history of the world.

It doesn't matter who you are and so anyone who accepts this sacrifice that Jesus made on their behalf will be saved from the punishment of their sins and will have eternal life in paradise.

Jesus completed the 1st step and now to complete the 2nd step one must have faith and trust in what Jesus Christ did for them.

We read in Scripture, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."---John 3:16 ESV

Below is a prayer for anyone who wants to begin putting their faith in Jesus Christ our Lord Savior!

Dear God, I realize I am a sinner and could never reach heaven by my own good deeds. Right now I place my faith in Jesus Christ as God’s Son who died and rose again to give me eternal life. I trust in Jesus alone. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to live for you. Thank you for accepting me and giving me eternal life.”

So you would be a fake god?...a coward god?...lol

How could anyone have any faith in someone who's a fake and a coward?...lol

Jesus was no fake, He was no coward, He went through with all the agonizing pain of being crucified on the cross, a grossly inhumane way for anyone to die from and He did it for all of mankind, to save mankind from our sins.
