My God is extraordinary. He created the universe. The universe is evidence. Ever watch a bird of paradise? There are many extraordinary things in this universe that declare the glory of God.

Good for you. Perhaps you should study the Bible against the history that proves events as recorded impossible, the 'out of contest' passages that support Christianity.

Ever heard of Occam's Razor? Your position is wildly illogical considering natural has a natural explanation.

So God mind controlled the people who wrote the Bible and deprived them of their free will?

I've often heard "out of context" and studied for myself, only to be reassured the Scriptures are true.

Free will also means submitting. Some do, some don't. God is able to find those who will.

And then they were perfectly mind controlled without making any errors or adding their own biases to the texts?

Do you have any proof for any of this or is it all "faith based"?

Nope, they weren't mind controlled. God never takes over our free will. I have the proof living inside my spirit. I don't need to prove anything to anyone.

So then the writers of the Bible were free to fill it with their own biases and mistakes.

That's great. You subjectively have proof that could be altered at any moment by a traumatic brain injury. I'm going to need something more concrete before I believe anything.

I mean, what the hell is this "spirit" thing you claim exists?

I don't believe that. I believe the writers were influenced by the Holy Spirit to write what the Spirit told them to.

Yes, you need a lot. The Holy Spirit of God. God is a Spirit.

And they had no choice in matter? Human error and their own biases were prevented by interfering with their free will from affecting the texts?

Yes, they had a choice. They chose to submit to the Holy Spirit. You're starting to repeat yourself.

And you only proof for that is faith. You hope it is true.

It's also a position predicated on those writers being perfectly mind controlled while they were writing.

Unless another god was actually the correct one, in which case we both lose and you get to suffer their hell instead.

The intellectually correct position is to not believe any religious claims that lack objectively verifiable evidence.

Your two paragraphs are contradictory. That's intellectually confusing on your part.

    Genesis 7King James Version (KJV)
7 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
5 And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

Exactly where does "Bible says God" gathered the animals?

How many were put on the Ark?
There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark,
[*]clean beast thou shalt take... by sevens, ... beasts that are not clean by two

Did you really study the bible...

How are they contradictory? You post assumes that their is only a binary position: that either your God is true or not. But that's not the case. There are quite literally tens of thousands of different religions with different deities in the world. We could both be wrong and one of those gods could be the true one.

However, until you have objectively verifiable evidence to support one of those gods being real, the intellectually honest position is non-belief.

You just proved I was correct about some animals being more than two, used for food and sacrifice. Now look at Genesis 6:20. What does it say?

I agree there are many religions and many evil spirits. However, I believe I worship the One True Living God, Creator of the universe. Your opinion isn't going to change my belief.

Good for you. I however cannot believe things for which there isn't verifiable evidence. My subjective view has proven unreliable in the past (I'm betting yours has too), so I prefer to go on external evidence sources to verify my beliefs rather than feelings or "faith".

I see that you intentionally omitted the definitions of faith. There are two different definitions of "faith"

There are two different definitions of "faith". There is a big difference between the two. I pointed out that I use the first (1.) when applied to my faith (confidence) in things like science.

I have faith (confidence) in the fact that you can read and understand the difference between the two definitions.
I have faith (confidence) in the fact that you can read and understand what I wrote regarding my faith (confidence) in the findings of science.

Yet, you ascribe the phrase "blind faith" to my views. Why do you need to intentionally distort my views? Do you think that makes it easier for you to try argue against them?

Where, in the bible, does it teach:
If you cannot argue against the facts, present a distorted version of the facts, and then just argue against the distorted facts.

Same to you. Here's to hoping Islam or Shinto isn't the actual correct religion and your perception has been lying to you.

it doesn't of course, in this case, so you are saying Noah had to fly through the sky to gather the fowls and walk the face of the known earth at the time to gather the beasts, or did God bring the animals to the place where Noah was and Noah chose which two and seven of clean and unclean of the animals there where he was? Of which would make sense and the scriptures don't deny. it would be complete nonsense to argue that Noah search high and low through out the earth, and in the sky, to accomplish what the Lord God who was seeing this through, didn't help in any way.

it was the Lord who closed the door of the ark, not Noah.
