Nope. I believe Yasser Arafat wasn't a great mind. I believe the list proves that Jews are far superior minds than muslims that believe in Allah. You're the one that brought it up and I've just demolished it.

How it is a mystery? It's biochemistry 101.

Yasser Arafat didn't get a Nobel Prize in science, so why are you bringing him up? Is it
Purposeful intellectual dishonesty just so you don't have to admit you were blatantly wrong?

Three Muslims scientists have received Nobel Prizes in scientific fields. You claim "no great minds believe in Allah".

Was that a lie or are you willing to admit you are wrong?

Three Muslims compared to how many Jews?

Changing goalposts already? Are you going to stand by the blatant falsehood you posted in post 46 or are you going to admit you were wrong?

The comparative number doesn't matter in the context of the debate. We've established objectively and without question that great scientific minds do in fact believe in Allah.

Should their beliefs be considered true or worthy of being considered true without otherwise confirming evidence?

Great minds have nothing to do with religion. And there have been great minds throughout the ages. Great minds are those who are able to see beyond what is known and chart new territories in different spheres. There were great minds in ancient Egypt. They set todays basics for some medicines and maths. All in a time when there were no mod. cons. There have been great minds in India, in Ancient Greece, in Islam. They were outstanding for their time.

Those scientists etc with great minds have achieved their greatness by building on the work of others. Religion does not come in to it. When Islam cherishes education and frees up its young peoples minds, we will see far more 'great minds'.

I take it you mean IF?
    .
Considering the incredible advances and scientific discovery of the Middle East before Islam.....It seems unlikely it will ever drop a primary premise

Have you been watching lots of sci-fi movies lately? Sounds like some kind of "fairy-tale magic" with nobody behind it, so it's nonsensical to say the least.

Jewish people only nominate each other... and they take credit for some of the dumbest things like drip irrigation and desalination.

Every coolie in KSA has used drip irrigation for 2000 years.

Well, well. Showing yourself up again. Primitive drip irrigation was used in Ancient China millenia ago. There is a 'book' in existence written by a Chinese 'agriculturist' before the time of Christ called Fan Sheng-chih, describing it.

Um, I'm not the topic. That's a funny post because the poster ignores all of the scientific and artistic contributions by the Jewish people and focuses on desalination and irrigation. Now that's funny. If a Jew discovered a cure for cancer, one of the Jew haters would probably say something negative about Jews instead of being thankful for the contribution to mankind.

You ridiculed a post that was quite reasonable. You made yourself a target.

Margot has not mentioned the Jewish achievements. And she is not a Jew or Arab hater. The Israelis claim to have invented drip irrigation but that simply isn't true. A simple form of this has been used for millenia, They were simply using modern materials. She and I know the achievements of the Jewish people.

Wrong. Laughing at a post is permissible, and doesn't make me a "target". That's a typical arrogant condescending excuse the left likes to use to justify their trolling. I really don't give a flip about personalities here. I focus on the post. Try it.

The Left? I think you're on the wrong forum. You should be on the Politics thread.

Laughing at a post is permissible, so is replying to derision. If you don't want to be a target for reply, don't post.

How's is coming on whether or not you are going to stand by your blatantly false claim that "no great minds follow Islam"?

So you are standing by your claim that there are zero Nobel Prize winning Muslim scientists even though I've objectively proven that claim to be false?

Is your position willful ignorance or prideful lying?

There is no clique on here. Just people who agree with each other. My reference to Margot is because I know her studies have cross referenced mine and have respect for her views.

A Muslim in about 800 invented many surgical instruments that are still in use today. One of the early purposes of rich Islamic leaders was to gather together all the knowledge they could from places they had conquered. Libraries in palaces were built for this purpose and educated men were employed to use the knowledge. Knowledge was improved for centuries until the Islamic Golden age came to an end.

All that time the Jews were scattered throughout Africa, Asia and Europe.

And I am not Antisemetic. I've spent decades studying, and respecting, their adherence to their beliefs through the ages. I don't believe in religion and certainly not the Christian twisting of Jewish Scriptures in the same way Islam has done.

The Bible tells us who the fools really are and who's in denial.

    We read in Scripture:

Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good. ---Psalm 14:1 NLT

"Fools make fun of guilt, but the godly acknowledge it and seek reconciliation." ---Proverbs 14:9 NLT

Look they're in a business, their business is to sell Bibles as much as they can. I will buy a new Bible someday, the day when my current Bible falls apart at the seams or any other way for that matter that would make my Bible inaccessible, so until then I'm keeping my 2004 Bible edition of the NLT.

No they haven't shown me that my Bible is inaccurate, my Bible is still as accurate as any other Bible that is out there. Here once again let me explain the difference between my Bible which was published in 2004, the 2nd edition, to their 2007 edition.

In my Bible Genesis 1:16 says, ""God made two great lights, the sun and the moon---the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars."

Then in their 2007 edition, Genesis 1:16 says, "God made two great lights—the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars"

So why "the sun and the moon" which was in the 2004 edition, is omitted in the 2007 edition I have no answer for it. One can only speculate as to why they made the slight change. But nevertheless, the change didn't alter the verse in the sense that it is entirely different, the message is still the same, the two great lights, the larger one to govern the day and the smaller one to govern the night, they were obviously referring to "the sun and the moon".

Does that help you into acknowledging that your statement is what is really inaccurate?

I'm sure regarding my Bible anyone with intellectual honesty would deem my Bible acceptable after reading my explanation above.

Oh how so true! It's definitely not something you want to do! The Bible tells us that if anyone adds anything written to the words of prophecy in the Book of Revelation, God will add to that person the plagues described in the book.

    We read in Scripture:

And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book."---Revelation 22:18 NLT
