    Mitt Quote
For I know, I've told you and others numerous of times in the past, you can't just take a verse/s out of context then expect to interpret that single verse you're focusing on correctly. For the most part you will misinterpret it as you have clearly done here. And so the first thing I need to do is present the entirety of Psalm 82 as written in Scripture. And since your quote came from the CEB Bible, I will also use the CEB Bible, not that it matters but knowing you, you might say something silly like, "You didn't use the same Bible I used"....lol

But Christianity, and therefore you, do just that. As I pointed out to you Hosea 11:1 has been taken out of context. You claim it refers to Jesus, but you refuse to accept the rest of the chapter must therefore also refer to Jesus, according to you, worshipping idols etc. It doesn't mention Jesus and is therefore irrelevant to the so-called journey into Egypt by Joseph and family.

You have your examples backwards. Each is a case of an ideology that pushes the hate or abuse or exclusion of a demographic. Homosexuality isn't an ideology or belief system. Christianity is. Perhaps you should have gone with the anti-religious or "woke" as your comparison.

What is different from the truth that it should be desired? Telling me to stand on my head and crap myself isn't going to win my affection.

If I want to go to the store, it requires faith to get me there. Once there, my hope is realized, but not before the fact except according to the strength of my faith. There is no deception involved in faith. Learning to ride a bike requires faith. Once learned, it becomes easier. But still faith must be exercised each time. To say what I say requires faith. Otherwise it wouldn't be said by me. Faith has gotten us to this moment in time, surrounded by our surroundings which are all also by faith. Every advancement in everything is preceded by faith.

Sexual perversity is an enemy to virtue, conscience, and God. To attempt to force it upon those of virtue, conscience, and godliness, is proof of this utter disrespect and disregard for basic decency and constitutional rights.

And what is THE TRUTH? Standing on your head would certainly give you a different view of life. Had you been born in the Middle East your truth would be Islamic. In India, Hindu. Had you been born in South America 500 years ago you would have different gods. Had Joseph Smith not been born - who knows? All these people have 'the truth'.

The truth is that God is real, he lives, and is divine. I don't care what others believe. Let them believe it. Regarding all the falsehoods, to say that therefore Joseph Smith was just another falsehood in a long line of falsehoods is a bite too big for reason, when to LDS Church members he was the turnabout. The LDS Church and Book of Mormon is another testimony reinforcing the veracity of of the Bible and the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no other Christian denomination like it.

It may be a bite too big for Mormons but not to reasonable people. Like the Bible it contains stories and that are just that - stories.

Scientific facts are seldom kind to religion in general, but Mormonism’s relatively modern truth claims appear particularly vulnerable to objective scrutiny. Michael Crawford, Professor of Anthropology, summarizes the view shared by nearly all respected New World anthropologists. “I don’t think there is one iota of evidence that suggests a lost tribe from Israel made it all the way to the New World. It is a great story, slain by ugly fact.” [9] The Brethren are reluctant to publicly discuss these difficult issues, preferring instead to entrust the problem to various apologists and the public relations arm of the Church.

The LDS Church is appealing to ignorance while attempting to retreat to a position beyond the reach of established science. To dispute the claims of science is not uncommon in the LDS Church. It stubbornly clung to the notion that African people were cursed by a dark skin through ancestry from Cain, though scientists had already proven that all humanity descends through African ancestry. The very concept of “race” is extremely dubious in science today, but ancestry through DNA is clear and is the basis of modern scientific understanding of the human genome, as well as much medical research, which the LDS Church happily relies on.
    https://www.mormonstories.org/truth-claims/the-books/the-book-of-mormon/dna-and-the-book-of-mormon/

On top of all that, the claim the Western tribes came from the descendants of Biblical Joseph, when it is clear that we have no evidence for Joseph's actual existence, rather spoils the story.

Everything, except the BOM denies Joseph Smiths 'vision'.

The angel Moroni also took away the gold plates. So there is no validation for the Book of Mormon either. The Church completely stands alone but for Gods spirit which also can't be proven to the world. Personally, I'm glad for the cloud of suspicion which God has raised over his Church. It justifies and satisfies the faithless without, and refines his own within. It's comforting to know what can't be proven, when what's known is divine. Who can say where God dwells or has dwelt, whether his spirit comes or goes, and to what end?

Jesus Christ said, "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
Then he said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness."
    Such is his Church.

Each of those other ideologies you listed (KKK, Nazis, etc) said/say the same about their hated demographic.

That'd be true if they were forcing homosexuality onto you. But as far as I am aware, nobody forced you to have gay sex, nor did they outlaw heterosexual sex or stop heterosexuals from getting married.

Now, you MAY have more of a case if as I mentioned above you instead talked about the new-ish "woke" folks who do seek to push their ideology and force others to comply with their way of life.

"Speaking for God" - in all its glorious and blasphemous forms - such as "Sexual Perversity an Enemy to God"
is the tool of the Devil as pointed out by Penguin.

Who gets to determine what "Sexual Perversity" entails ... ?? Lesbianism .. or anything other than for procreation ?

God .. says Injeun .. God determines what is Sexual Perversity .. OK then tell us what God says about it Injeun since he sat down for tea with you the other day and revealed her thoughts. Try not to put words in God's mouth now .. nor misrepresent what God told you .. as that would be the unforgivable Sin according to scripture .. the "Awfull Horror" .. Demon Speak if you will.

Tell us Injeun .. very curious what God told you about sexual Perversity

Who cares -- Everyone who believes in God believes that .. which is everyone but the strict atheists. Thus it is a pointless comment .. all you are saying is "God is God" believe what you want .. but this tells us nothing about the God in which you believe .. thus the God you believe in is a meaningless platitude .. Shiva is Shiva .. Shiva is Great .. thank you for the food we ate. The Truth is that the earth revolves around the Sun .. and as Trevor says .. if you were born in the ME the name of your God would be Allah .. and your prayer would be Allah Akbar" --- "God is Great" if memory serves :)

Is Joseph a Falsehood ? .. certainly some books of the NT are falsehoods and others were falsehoods .. no longer included in the 100% Gods word portion of the Book.. booted out so to speak. Same can be said about the Tanack .. the "Hebrew Bible" parts thrown out - no longer included "Falsehood"

Can't say about Joseph .. don't know him that well .. nor much of what Moroni had to say .. then again not that up on what Angel Gabriel .. or was it Michael told to Muhamad .. Peace be upon him .. or the prophet David Koresh who came after the aforementioned .. not real up on his teachings either .. but .. as you say Injeun "all testimony reinforcing the veracity of "The Bible and the Gospel of Jesus"

and really .. if you think about it .. we should not be excluding any of the non cannonical texts of the Bible .. all prophets of a kind .. Like Joseph and Koresh -- all reinforcing the Veracity of the Gospel .. in their own ways .. albeit often contradictory in other ways.. quite a mess actually in that respect.

If we want truly "Holy" scripture though .. we need to go outside of the above - aforementioned.codswallow. So it is written .. So it Shall be Done !!

Sorry. Isn't that just confused. .'Refines his own within'. It's comforting to know what can't be proven, when what's known is divine.'
What I offered you in the article IS proven. Knowing it's proven false refines your belief?

The article proves nothing but that it has no proof of God, spirit, Smiths vision, Angels, heaven, the gold plates, the ancient cities, the Lamanites, ties to Joseph of Israel, or anything. It also has no proof that the sacrament is nothing more than bread and water, or that baptism for the dead is more than delusional activity. In fact there is no proof of anything good, of love or faith or hope or marriage beyond a thin document, or honor or dignity, no proof that our Fathers are more than sires, and Mothers more than female dogs. All that these expert judges know is that they themselves live for now, nothing more than a cult of transitory leaves, suited to compost and signified by the veracity of their glorious science.

You say that likes there is something wrong with it.

I live for NOW because I have absolutely no evidence that there is anything after "NOW"

THe ONLY reliable method of obtaining knowledge and wisdom is the scientific method. Forming hypothesis, testing them through observation and refining those hypothesis as much as you can. That's it.

Divine revelation, intuition, a "feeling" that God spoke to you...NONE OF IT is reliable.

If you read the Holy Bible in its entirety and came away understanding that the Bible revealed to you that God was a Jewish God who had zero interest in non-Jewish people then I would say to you, you are in desperate need to take an extensive comprehensive reading course with the aim to greatly improve your reading comprehension skills because it is really dreadfully downright awful at the moment.

Truth is Gawd if you had just at least an average skill of reading comprehension this is what you would have come away with after reading the Holy Bible in its entirety.

The Creator Almighty God is everyone's God and so He has interest in all of His created human beings, so much so that He wants everyone to live with Him in Paradise in His Kingdom of Heaven.

But He doesn't want to force it upon anyone and so He gave each and every one of us the free will to choose to believe/trust in Him and His message, and to live with Him for all eternity or choose not to believe/trust in Him and reject His message and not live with Him for all eternity.

    We Read in Scripture:

44 Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. 45 For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark. 47 I will not judge those who hear me but don’t obey me, for I have come to save the world and not to judge it. 48 But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken. 49 I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50 And I know his commands lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.” John 12: 44 - 50 NLT

    True Disciples

21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ Matthew 7:21-23 NLT

The believers will be rewarded with heavenly eternal bliss living with the Lord forever and ever in eternity in His Kingdom of Heaven. A place where the Lord will wipe every tear from our eyes, a place where there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.

    We Read in Scripture:

4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:4 NLT

The non-believers will be punished for their sins and will be separated from the Lord for all eternity.

    We Read in Scripture:

9 They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from[a] the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might, 10 when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed. 2 Thessalonians 1:9-10 ESV

    Footnotes
    a. 2 Thessalonians 1:9 Or destruction that comes from

Let me now present a video that answers the question: Is hell real? Is hell eternal?

Ok thanks Gawd for your post and I hope you and other unbelievers take the seriousness of the consequences of being an unbeliever of the Almighty Christian God. You unbelievers have only yourselves to blame if you find yourselves in hell one day.

If you or anyone has no love, faith, hope, inspiration, conscience, revelation, spirit, holiness, Parents and honor for them, or anything more than the creature, then you don't live, because that is the life of man. Otherwise you are just a cow mulling in a pasture, awaiting fate.

Talk about running for the Hills kind of response. I suppose is all one can do with position so crucified .. did not expect you to abandon your God so easily.

What "Viable options" .. and what is the big failure here. The big fail is your attempt to distinguish between Joseph Smith or Muhammad or David Koresh (or or or or) as having "Gods Word" or being even connected to God's word.

So what are these "Viable Options" in your post of reflexive deflection... Unable to deal with this God of nothing you have created. Do not abandon this God so easily .. Let us here there "viable options" ?

Gawd's reasoning is like saying that a Prophet speaks to himself and not others, or that Jesus's mission was to himself alone. We credit Edison for the lightbulb. But it lights all of our lives rather than only those in his immediate vicinity. Such is the work of God. We credit the Jews, but the honor is to God for spreading his favor abroad. Anyway, thanks for your accurate scriptural research Brother Mitt. It is good to hear today the relevant past, and the continuity of God.

The truth is Mitt, that you cannot understand that the Bible is simply a book. For all your supposed understanding you cannot even answer the simplest questions.

Again you ignore my remarks. You talk about taking things out of context. I've shown you that Matthew - and Christianity - have done just that. Hosea 11.1 has nothing to do with Jesus despite Matthew using it.

One could say that Mormons are just Parrots repeating what they've been told. They don't have the ability to recognise the meaning of the words.
The BOM is just like the Bible. The discovery of DNA was after Smiths time of writing therefore he had no idea it would disprove his 'visionary writings'. When the story of Abraham through to the Exodus was written it was not realised that in 2,500 years we would be able to say that it did not happen. Or that Noahs Biblical flood could not have happened. Visions, dreams have always been 'supernatural' but thanks to modern science, psychology, psychiatry and knowledge of the working of the brain in relation to the body we have much more understanding regarding dreams, visions etc.

There is nothing disproven about the Book of Mormon. It was assumed after the fact that it referred to native Americans. As yet, the Lamanite remnants and archaeological evidence remain undiscovered. It doesn't mean that it won't be at another time. That's not why people become members of the Church. They do so because Gods spirit testifies of its truthfulness, that it is his restored Church. It isn't about academics. If you want proof of the existence of a race, archaeological evidence of existence, and original scriptures making up the book, then become a Jew. If you want evidence of God, than say so. And don't quibble about academics.

'It was assumed' doesn't sound very definite. And after 2600 years nothing has been found? Indian tribes have no stories to tell about their arrival? Nothing Middle Eastern?
Even the primitive Aztecs talk of a single man who arrived by sea at different times, and taught them how to live in peace and harmony before leaving in a boat. The Mayans also have the same story. They told stories about him. Nothing in the US at all. There are stories in all lands of ancient people who lived there, and their exploits. Even drawings and statues known to be thousands of years old. Yet nothing in the US of the Lamanites.
