No I certainly don't. But we law-abiding classes don't have that choice do we. But I'd rather you had answered my question.

I'm against gun ownership which I thought was quite obvious from my response. Now your response implies that you think that only you should be allowed to have a gun. Or perhaps there is a magic determination gadget that can determine if a gun will be used in a future crime

I'm against gun ownership too, but I merely made the obvious observation that it makes sitting ducks for anyone who decides to enter our house? I wouldn't need one anyway, living in an apartment building, but if l lived in a house or bungalow right now, I'd look into the possibility of acquiring one. Oh, and I assure you that I'd never use it unless I needed to; I'm not some thicko red-neck who just wants one to make me feel powerful.

When you're put in a combat situation in your own home there is no need for the distraction of asking questions or talking -- just strike immediately to kill with all force at your disposal.

He wasn't arrested. You don't understand British law. We take the fact that a person died very seriously. We also recognise that self defence is appropriate. Shooting thieves in the back as they run away, not so much.

We learned our lesson from Jr. Walker and the All Stars, "Said shotgu-u-u-u-u-n, shoot 'em fore they run now!!!"

My house is 200 feet from the nearest house nobody will hear a scream. We also nightly have bobcats or coyotes on our property. We have also seen wolves and mountain lions. My SIL have lost cattle to predators. We have had homes recently broken into in our area. How do you know the reasoning of anybody choosing to legally carry a gun, redneck or otherwise?

I said people are dying of starvation in Britain. You demanded information on one. You were provided with several. Gain some integrity.

In general, men don't take killing lightly. It's kind of hard for men to smile sweetly at someone they are killing or intend to kill. Likewise uprooting stumps and laying roads upon which others may glide. Civilization is not a given.

An interesting article, particularly regarding a victim named Shirley Best. https://www.steynonline.com/8559/an-englishman-home-is-his-proportionately

If only Tony Martin had taken your self defense course and shouted "Fire" while being robbed, everything would have ended up quite happily for everyone.

While Brits are never critical of the American people and their politicians, huh?

This thin-skinned response over a bit of legitimate criticism suggests that the stories we hear about British manhood has some validity to them.

That's not the case in places where gun ownership is actually mandatory. https://www.cnn.com/2018/03/06/us/kennesaw-georgia-gun-ownership/index.html

People who are seriously ill or mentally handicapped. You made it sound as though starvation in the UK was widespread. Perhaps it's because Christian values have long been on the decline in Britain.

Well obviously I don't mean anyone in your circumstances - of course you need one. I'm talking about those who live in city apartments, and travel out of town to the firing ranges every weekend to play Rambo? But I'll qualify that by saying that even on their city streets, I wouldn't blame them for carrying. Sorry to be ambiguous but guns are out there in vast numbers, and other than eliminate all of them (impossible of course) there's no definitive answer to the firearms controversy.

They're not dying of starvation, they're dying of malnutrition, because to fund their ****, drugs, and booze, they have to compromise on the quality of their food?? Gain some common sense.

Edit to correct banned word - it was another word for cigarettes.

In a word? Yes! For example, I find it extremely easy not to break into someone else's house and steal their worldly goods for which they've worked hard, and irreplaceable items of sentimental value, so there's little chance I'll ever be killed by an irate house-owner? Presuming you will agree with that, I'll develop my argument a bit? If I find it so easy to not find myself in that situation, surely anyone with an IQ over double figures can work it out too, so why the **** do you keep anguishing about them? Their chosen way of life has nothing to do with you, so just poke out. Read the upper signature below this post, and champion the rights of law-abiders for a change, instead of being an apologist for bloody criminals fgs???

Murder is when you plan to kill someone. I don't think the pensioner lay in wait with a kitchen knife planning to kill a burglar who might happen to call by.

    Three things -

1 - Having to commit a burglary means society is not working

2 - Burglars and home owners shouldn't lose their lives.

    3 - It's not heroic killing someone.

Surreal, isn't it? Here's another example, similar to the Pilkington mother and daughter suicide scandal, of how ****ing useless our plod are . . .

"A special needs teacher who fired a pellet gun at youths she claimed had vandalised her house has been jailed for six months".

So a dedicated and useful member of society victimised - and criminalised as well, if you effing please - just because it was easier to persecute her rather than the scum who were making her life a misery AND she was paying taxes whereas her tormenters were unemployed, so weren't paying any taxes? How bizarre is that! So the bottom line is that she was actually paying them (her taxes being used to fund their welfare payments?) to destroy her life, and the authorities were ****ing condoning it? And as if all that wasn't enough, she's probably still out of work . . . and receiving er, welfare benefits rather than paying taxes - and probably for the rest of her life!!!! The insanity of it?

If it wasn't for the spontaneous public outrage, he'd now be facing prosecution.
