Well to be perfectly honest, I really don't know the story at all. If the scum had been plaguing and intimidating the guy for months then I have even less sympathy for the fact that he was killed. However, I can see how the law would have found him guilty of manslaughter even though I'm not comfortable with it.

 

Where did I ever suggest that the general public should kill people? I simply said that if you break into someones house then you deserve everything that happens. If you break into someone's house don't be surprised if you wind up dead. However, it is obviously ill advised and potentially illegal for someone to take lethal action against an intruder, but hey, sh*t happens.

Just a quick note...Don't read too much into the idea of 'shot in the back means running away'. In reality the time involved in the fellow turning around and the victim shooting could be less than a second...too quick for the victim to stop the shot even if he realized the perp was moving away.

No, in most cases it prevents crime since they know the area is viewed. The sign doesnt stae where teh camera is not anything else, simply that the area is under control.

In the US you have 101 guns per 100 citizens in Germany 31 guns per 100 citizens. Not really disarmed.

In the US any citizens is allowed to protect itself by guns, not in Germany

If I legally own a gun in Germany and use it to defend myself no court will sentence me.

no we dont know that at all. But what kind of mother or father puts the intruders safety above their own children? Thankfully not one parent Ive ever met has stated what weve seen here. That kind of warped thinking makes my skin crawl. Imagine an intruder heading towards your children and the parent doing nothing except call out to neighbors. So what are the neighbors supposed to do, come over to your house and fight your intruder? ick...I cant believe their are parents out there like this. Their poor children.
