Fred you are quoting a source that talks about OLD NON-NUCLEAR EMP TECHNOLOGY!!!

The New and Current Non-Nuclear U.S. Military EMP's are THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF TIMES MORE POWERFUL that those that used a large low-inductance capacitor bank discharged into a single-loop antenna, a microwave generator and an explosively pumped flux compression generator.

The New NNEMP's and their design and method of detonation are HIGHLY CLASSIFIED.

They are more than powerful enough to penetrate any shielded wiring as well are powerful enough to use any conductive material that is sheilded to burn out Selenoids, Computer Chips and Circuitry.

The Largest U.S. NNEMP's are said to be capable of generating an EMP as strong as one generated by a 1 to 2 Kiloton Nuclear Weapon.

These are large and are carried by C-17's and C-5M's and a slightly smaller but about 1/2 as powerful one can be carried by a C-130 as well as B-1B's, B-52's and B-2's.

In the past Non-Nuclear EMP's simply did not generate a strong enough Electromagnetic Pulse to be effective against large numbers of enemy mechanized forces.....but the new one's most certainly are and can shut down entire cities.

The GOOD PART about these U.S. Military NNEMP's is no one DIES.

The BAD PART for an enemy is they would be sitting ducks and most likely would surrender.

As I stated Fred....there was a BREAKTHOUGH in Non-Nuclear EMP Devices a few years back in a Classified U.S. Military R&D Black Program.

For decades both the U.S. and the Soviet's then Russia attempted to design a NNEMP that could generate an EM Pulse equal to that of at the very least a 1 Kiloton Nuclear Detonation at altitude.

The U.S. and it's Military Contractors were able to achieve this.

The U.S. Military is currently the ONLY Nation's Military that posses such weapons.

I'll take your word for it as far as the US is concerned.

Kind of miffed that this thread has been bumped down to the Russia & Eastern Europe forum instead of the military forum (the thread was not just about Russia).

You know Fred....I really hope that the U.S. and Russia and Canada can become Partners.

It is in all 3 Nations best interest and I do have many Russian Friends who were my COLD WAR COUNTERPARTS and the last time I was in Russia which was not all that long ago....and this was after Putin cancelled the Joint Russian/American-Canadian Program....all my Russian friends were very depressed.

My friends and I have gotten to know all their family members when I spent all that time in Russia are all former members of the GRU, KGB and Soviet MIlitary....and as they are all retired as I was much younger than they were back in 1983 when I first got in....they have a very hard time making ends meet as what they get for benefits is nothing basically and they work jobs.

Understand...at one time these men and one woman were the Vanguards of Soviet Defense and now they are all but forgotten living in public housing except one family and it really ANGERS ME because when the world was GOING INSANE....these mostly men and one woman had the brains and the wisdom to allow me and a few others to come into the Soviet Union to develop Back Channel lines of Communication so that what happened with Yuri Andropov WOULD NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!!

Now when Russia became a Democracy they were ALL SO HAPPY and so was I and even after the market crash they were upbeat and it was when Putin went and seized all large Private Companies in Russia is when they lost hope and Faith.

Last time I talk to one of them and he is now 65....he told me that it KILLS HIM that after all the struggle and all the austerity measures that he went through and his father who was a WWII HERO OF THE SOVIET UNION went through that Putin had placed them right back were they started from!!

I have absolutely no ill will against the Russian People and I think it is a TRAVESTY what is happening now as in the Past when in the 1980's Russian's were waiting in Bread and Coffee Lines and back then a Sony Walkman, a pair of Levi's and a Half Gallon of Florida Orange Juice...no pulp....could BUY YOU A CAR....as the Soviet Union was spending every Ruble it had trying to keep up with vast American Military Weapons Systems which was what caused the Collapse of the Soviet Union as it went bankrupt.....at while people like my friends were waiting in line to get coffee.....the High Ranking Communist Officials were sweating it out in steam rooms in their Datchas on the Balck Sea and they wanted for NOTHING as I know as I had been invited and had gone to many HIGH RANKING COMMUNIST PARTY LEADERSHIP ONLY CLUBS.

Now they feel Putin is trying to return to that system...and they lack hope.

Not the truth! The Soviet Union collapsed for other reasons... in 1980, in the settlement where there lived my grandmother, there was a bread line...which was brought from the city, it was cheap and we bought much that we eat ourself and to feed animals((pigs, calfs etc)) but flour could be bought always to bake bread, etc. by the end 1988 in Russia wasn't problems with food. There were problems with import goods which became fashionable in Russia. It is different perfumery, jeans (Montana) or ''acid washed jeans'', belladonnas etc. (we youth, bought it from foreigners and sold in the markets) in the USSR AFTER WAR... NOBODY STARVED, NEVER!

Cars at the end of 70 beginning 1980, people bought, but it was, nevertheless is expensive and isn't economical. (the majority had motorcycles...) In the USSR public transport was developed ideally, everywhere. Many workers in the USSR were given free houses! Free education. Free medicine. In the USSR lived not worse than in the West. Crisis began when the USSR collapse (because all economy of the republics was interconnected, and quickly cooperation broke...)

PS: of course line to the shop in the USSR, were used by the western promotion... I watched video long ago, some American comedy woman arrived to the USSR and saw in Moscow sell to pizza... on the western TV, she enjoys when eats it... she shouts, in Moscow have a pizza!!! It is about 1986. When I watched this video, I was taken by laughter. My ancestors made pizza - centuries. It is called just different name - vatrushka:smile:

What did I post that was not the truth?

I never posted about Russian starving.

Although this did happen during Stalin's forced relocation program.

And the collapse of the Soviet Union was due to it going bankrupt as it spent enormous amounts of money trying to match the U.S. Military in the 1980's.

Soviet Union in the majority collapse because the USSR spent huge money for the free help to the poor countries. This construction of power plants, bridges, buildings, other infrastructure. Also huge number the weapon, too was free of charge delivered to Third World countries... inside of the country there was a planned economy which worked effectively in the beginnings of the USSR... then officials ceased to watch quality of production, in many branches, simply made or attributed false data - as much they made, for it encouraged... the same was both military equipment, and some the weapon... anyway how many the USSR made, it still will be enough for for hundred years ahead...

if in brief, America helped the developed countries, giving the credits... these countries developed and repaid debts for the USA. The USSR helped the poor countries, finance their economies, but these countries in the majority and now the poor - live in the Stone Age (Afghanistan for example) ...and nobody (with percent) didn't repay debts...

Fred....let's talk reality for a moment.

Every single Former Soviet State desperately want's to apply for NATO MEMBERSHIP.

Now why do you think this is so?

You forget I have been to every single former Soviet State as well I have been to every single former Soviet Controlled Nation such as Poland, the now Czech Republic, Romania....and talk about a Soviet MESS left behind in that Nation....Hungery, Bulgaria...etc.

Every single one of both these Warsaw Pact Nations and Former Soviet States are angry with Russia.

They want to join NATO as fast as possible because they want to make sure that they never again are FORCED to be apart or connected in any way to Russia.

The Soviet Union in the 1980's and early 1990's attempted to keep up Militarily with the United States. In their attempt to keep up the Soviet Union banrupted itself and even the Russian Documented History they teach in schools tells this story so I find it difficult to understand why YOU are trying to claim that it was all this money that the Soviet Union spent on building infrastructure in other nations to help free these poor countries???

    Money spent upon WHAT???

Every single Former Soviet State and former Warsaw Pact Nation.....HATES RUSSIA'S GUTS!!!

Why do you think they all want to joing NATO???

    Reality Fred...please.

You quote me, but you talk with Fred?:eyepopping:

But anyway, you write bul***t. I already proved to you earlier that in the beginning the countries of a Warsaw pact joined the EU because wanted that their economy was lifted by the rich countries of the West. (wanted to live better...) - enter into NATO automatically.

ps. (in the Czech Republic ... people the majority voted against entry into the EU)

My mistake by using Fred's name...he was right I was tired.

The Czech Republic might have voted no as far as entry into the EU.....but in Aug 20th 1968 the Soviet Invasion of Czechoslovakia began!!!

The Czech's absolutely want NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA!!!

All one has to do is look at all the Nations that were subverted by a Russian Controlled Soviet Union!!!

They want to be members of NATO.

You write that The Czech Republic might have voted no as far as entry into the EU - it means Czech Republic didn't want and with NATO too. In other words, Czechoslovakia by manipulations was admitted to the EU and it automatically became the member of NATO. Such destiny... Sometimes Happens.

ps: My brother, in his shed still have my first motorcycle(when I was 14 years old) production of the Czech Republic

Is this picture recent or from back then because if it is recent nice job as far as restoring her!!

I have been riding everything from Dirt Bikes to Harley Softails and Fatboys as well as I love to ride Snowmobiles.

My home in Western Massachusetts is very rural and beautiful as we have trails that go through Forests and up small mountains as well Massachusetts is absolutely STUNNING in the Spring and Fall and a nice Bike Ride through this area in Spring where everything is blooming with flowers or in Fall where a person and friends can ride their Harley's through Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Upstate New York when the leaves on the trees have changed into so many vibrant colors I have seen people not from this part of the world actually break down crying because of the beauty.

That's one of the GREAT THINGS about living in the United States....you can just get on your Harley or Indian and just RIDE across a CONTINENT as I have ridden to the Harley Rendezvous in Pattersonville NY.....

    LINK....http://www.harleyrendezvous.com/

I have rode to BIKE WEEK in Daytona Beach Florida.

    LINK....http://daytonabikeweek.com/

And I have rode my bike....NOT HAD IT TRUCKED IN...but RODE IT to STURGIS SOUTH DAKOTA BIKE WEEK.

    LINK....http://www.sturgismotorcyclerally.com/

And of course LACONIA NEW HAMPSHIRE BIKE WEEK....and on every License Plate in the Great State of New Hampshire reads.....LIVE FREE OR DIE.
