I've heard some drones were left behind, if true, I'd think the onboard cpu, rom and other guidance systems algorithms might be pretty useful to many of our enemies..

They have a lot more of what? Garbage we left behind, and arms they would have obtained from the Afghans regardless. What leadership policy would have changed those facts? Only staying there, or completely disarming the puppet leadership would have prevented the Taliban from getting them.

Nah. There's nothing in them that isn't already commercially available. The drones are ScanEagles. No weapon system. They don't even have landing gear. You have to catch it in a specialized recovery system.

It's stupid to argue that all the equipment should have come home. Much of what was left was already a sunk cost. We're not going to use the vehicles, they'd just sit in Nevada rotting. We're not going to use 20 year old drones. The Taliban can't make much use of them. You can get the same capability they provide with something you can buy on Amazon now.

Should we have spent a couple hundred million getting them back home just so the Taliban couldn't post pictures of them on Instagram?

Nah. Disgusting people flew planes into the towers and pentagon. That part of the world offers absolutely nothing of value except the oil they live on. Their culture and people live in another century and treat other accordingly. They don’t coexist with a modern society and it shows. Did I say just Afghanistan? But it’s a staging area for terrorists and we tried to help them move forward. They refused. The day we are no longer dependent on oil is the day the rest of the world can cut off the ME and let them destroy each other.
