They could try like they did during prohibition, but when you try to legislate such things the situation often goes from bad to worse. Contraption and education is a proven way to reduce abortions.

Politically speaking I doubt GOP wants abortion to go away because it's a golden wedge issue which brings in tons of votes from the evangelical voters. To be honest, I doubt they can win without it, unless they find something else they can use during election cycles.

No one needs to be bare to accept repsonibility...fully clothed is fine....and women DO bear the responsibility and some do it by getting an abortion....YOU said it, it's THEIR responsibility NOT YOURS.

There is only one. Count em! ONE method of getting pregnant. Last I checked it can't happen if it's stuck up your ass or down your throat or rubbed in your hands or on your tits. Biology 101. If you elect to have sex in the ONE way that can result in getting pregnant, then the consequences of that choice were willfully committed by you, the participant. If you didn't want to get pregnant then you could have opted to have sex in the many other ways one can that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to create another person. So ya. You willfully made that choice. Just because you didn't like the results of that choice shouldn't give you the right to murder that which you willfully created.

If I could hold men as accountable for their actions of just pumping semen into anything that breathes without a thought about the consequences, I would. Unfortunately due to biology, women have to BEAR the responsibility of the action they both partook in.

You say that as if reproduction is always the GOAL of having sex. The majority of sexual activity is not
for reproduction. And the only reason that so much of it can even take place is because of contraception and abortion.

Perhaps you mean that SEX is a basic human activity, which would be consistent with your rule number 1 of human behavior. This rule is inconsistent with your proclamation that "reproduction is a basic human activity." If rule 1 was, people will REPRODUCE, then it would be consistent.

People are free to have sex, but they need to deal with the consequences of it if any arise. If abortion was banned, and people have sex and a pregnancy results, but abortion is unavailable, who is responsible for the pregnancy? Answer: the people who did the act which caused the pregnancy! This is what we on the right call: PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY! The left seem to be unaware of this concept!
