I think that voice/'Stewie' is put on... but... I had to refrain from using Stewie myself as an example of an New England accent confusing me with a well spoken native one.

I've never tried it actually, and it's a microbrewery located here in Massachusetts. Lol! I don't like beer or alcoholic beverages too much. :D

Speaking of beer...This is very typical for Sweden: People lining up to get into the State monopoly-liquor store:

Yup, Socialism always means bread lines.

Pardon my French, but.. Fu*k those pieces of sh*t! If there is one thing I really hate it would be the state monopoly on liquor stores. They are only open from 10 in the morning to 7 in the afternoon which means people who have a job can never buy alcohol and on weekends they close at 3(!!!). Sundays are completely closed btw.

They made some really disgustingly pretentious tv-commercial a few years ago that had me almost break every screen I saw it on. Not only was it the paradox of a "Socialist Institution" who fight "evil Capitalism" and base their existence on "preventing alcoholism" making a commercial that was friggen laughable, but also how gross this particular commercial was.

In short, tbe commercial went like this; an American entrepreneur visits a liquor store in Sweden and starts lecturing how they can increase profits whereby a employee raises her hand and says; "but, not here. We don't really care for profit."

Their website annoys me too. When you first get there you are visited by one of those "are you 20 years or older?"-windows. Always makes me laugh. If you click "no", you still get to enter but you can't browse their supply. :roflol:

    What a joke lol.

You can enter nightclubs and pubs and go full cray-cray when you are 18. But, to buy alcohol from the State you have to be 20.

You can enter the nightclubs but are they supposed to be selling alcohol to 18-year-olds? What is the legal drinking age? It's 21 here. It used to be 18 a long time ago, before my time.

I would hate to go to a bar with a bunch of drunk 18-year-olds! A lot of them are annoying enough without adding alcohol to the mix!

Obviously this has led to a form of voluntary segregation; there are bars/clubs to which only the 30+'s go and bars/clubs which only the 18-25 year olds visit. There is one nightclub here that actually have their age limit at 25.

Well, a lot of 30+ year olders are probably not very comfortable mixing it up (and with alcohol being involved) with people young enough to be their kids. :D It probably kind of ruins their fun, especially if they have their own teenagers at home. Lol!

Luckily, most 30+'s are waaaay past their clubbing years of life whereas 18 year olds and people in their early 20's still find that crap amusing. So, the risk of such discomfort is very low. :p

That's not true around here. There is a large population of even 40+ year olds who are still going out to concerts, going out partying, etc.

Not in the same way though. Or are they? I have no idea. Perhaps my view of 30-40 year olds as "mature grown ups" is due to my own, relatively, low age. Kind of like when you were 5 and thought 16 year olds had everything sorted out.

Well, they are less stupid and most of the time use more common sense! But older people still like to go out and have a good time. I hope I still like to go out and have fun and I'm not just sitting at home every night when I'm older. How boring!

Lol! That's awesome! My grandmother was very active until recently too. She has Alzheimer's now and doesn't really know what's going on, which is rather sad, but at least she's not in pain or anything. She is pretty healthy physically, although she fell down and broke her hip last year and has been in a wheelchair since then. The falling was more due to her Alzheimer's and confusion than to any health issues though. She was walking quite some distances before the fall. Other than that though, she is healthy physically.
