I guess age, eventually, catches us all. I have some cases of Alzheimer's on my father's side, so perhaps I carry that gene too.

My matriline are all pretty damn healthy though. :p

Hopefully you don't. I worry a little about that too. I hope I don't get any serious health or mental issues as I age! Most old people do have health issues though. I sometimes think that modern medicine keeps us alive WAY longer than we should be!

I guess sometimes that is a good thing but sometimes not so much, depending on the circumstances.

I already have some "issues" with my health, but they were treated so early that they most likely won't progress. But, us all will probably have to face aching muscles and whatnot as we become old.

For better or worse, I guess. :)

PS. Hope Rhetoric won't mind us hijacking his thread and turning it off topic. :p

    That's life. Weren't you born in 1834 or something?:giggle:

I have already noticed my memory is starting to fade away. Obviously nothing too dramatic, but when I was a child I had the most awesome memory in the world and could memorise anything and cite it by heart after only hearing/seeing it once. :p

Well here in Britain we're forced by law to buy TV licences (currently 145 GB pounds/ 185 US dollars per year) if we own a TV, dunno if other countries do that too.

Well, do you smoke weed? Smoking weed really makes that a lot worse. :D

    We have that too!

Luckily, it is super easy to get away from though. Sometimes the Public Service-gestapo comes knocking the door asking if you own a TV, but you can just say no. They cannot do anything. :)

In the 80's and 90's they had these devices that could measure the "radiation level" (or whatever) in your home and they would then knock your door and say "I know you have a telly, give me your money!" But now, every home is full of Wifi, phones and computers that distort that signal, making it impossible to tell if there is a telly in the home or not.

No, I don't. I only tried it three or four times my entire life and last time was in 2014. I am clean. So it can't be that.

A few years ago, this new law came into play that said that people with an Internet connection ought to pay tv-license too "because with Internet, one can access Public Service-programmes too." They had repeal to that after about only 6 months though because they themselves realised how Stalin-esquely totalitarian and dumb that was.

Anyways, during the time that law was new they came knocking my door.
"Hi, do you own a TV?"
    "No, I don't."
"You do know that you have to pay a license if you have one, right?"
    "Yeah, I heard of it."
"Do you have a modem in your house?"

As I had no idea about the law I answered yes without thinking twice.

"You do know that you can access our services via the web, right?"
"Well, yeah. But, I do not really consume your stuff."
"But you could if you would. The law says everyone with Internet has to pay the license too."

Had to pay that stupid fee, but immediately after paying once I reported I no longer have an Internet connection and never had to pay it again. Shortly after, the law was repealed.

I swear to God my country's playing around/toying with that notion too with BBC iPlayer (online BBC TV for UK based proxies only).. However....

I mean this from the bottom of my heart...

Brexit put stuff like 'worrying about this, that and the other' - on hold.
Now it's Brexit this and Brexit that or, EU this and, EU that and - no other (unless something blows up, attacks us or burns down killing people).

Sherbet is dairy free. I am not sure what it is made of.

We have a more fruity product like it called sorbet.

I like sorbet best of all.

But I rarely buy any of these anymore.

I eat frozen or canned berries with cream, and fresh berries straight or with spiced rum.

Sherbet is what you might find in a Pixy Stick...
So when I say I found Sherbert Ice Cream, I mean, I found 'Pixy Sticks' flavoured Ice Cream...
Sorbet is something different, but imagine Sherbet Sorbet or 'Pixy Sticks' flavoured sorbet...

I've never had Sorbet, but I think it's almost like a frozen lemonade. Of course, I'm not sure if you guys drink frozen lemonade, but around here, we have ice cream trucks and a favorite is the frozen lemonade. It comes in other flavors of course. :)

This looks like something I've seen in the UK, syrup and ice basically.

    UK brand called Slush Puppie...

Not to be confused with Philadelphia's own Water Ice (from Rita's)

So sorbet is like a Slush Puppie? or in America, a

    tub of shaved ice?

We have Slush Puppies here too. Slush Puppy is just the trademark name that a certain company calls the drink though. :) I think it is actually just like ice with some liquid flavored sugar added to it.
