If you actually followed the advice in the bible you'd soon enough figure out that some of it isnt so good.

 

No they don't. No pagans have ever believed that the statues of their gods were their gods.

 

Like if they try to accurately calculate the area of a circle or try to rid themselves of leprosy.

 

Punish, like smack the snot out of them?
How about maybe a grounding, and a talking to. To show how their actions were not healthy and what the consequences could have really been.

Or just toss them in the basement and set the basement on fire for the rest of eternity.

Which punishment is desired?

 

So now the rule is believe in God and love him. And you get eternal bliss?
That is not what I hear many christians say. Are the rules changed?

PS - Prove eternal bliss is in heaven.
So far no one has proven where this eternal bliss is to occur. From a christian viewpoint.

Everybody sins, including those who are saved. And yes, you remain saved if you sin because, again, everybody sins. We try not to, but it happens. And we repent, as everybody should, and strive to avoid making the same mistakes again, and strive to move forward in our walk with Christ.

Show me exactly where all the dead christians are this very day in eternal bliss. As I understand it, very few enjoy that bliss until judgement day.

 

Of course the real answer to how do they know for folks like devilicious, is because my book says so. If the book says it's true, then by default, it is true.

When I started having questions about, Am I following the correct religion or a false religion, I started looking at how the bible was created. And that lead to a big mess.
And when you come to forums as this, all you get from so called "christians" is the bible says it is so and the bible is 100% accurate. Which is not the case at all.

Not necessarily true. The group of men who compiled the bible may have included fairy tales and were not perfect.
