I don’t think it will be only Biden vs. Trump. RFK Jr. has already obtained ballot access in Utah and New Hampshire and is in the process of getting on 10 more state ballots, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada, New York and Texas. No Labels has ballot access in at least 14 states, worth 123 electoral college votes: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, South Dakota, and Utah. Signature gatherers have another 14 states in their sights between now and November. Although no labels haven’t settled on a candidate as of yet. But they have at least 7 more weeks to do so.


How viable RFK Jr. and perhaps No Labels will be all depends on how well financially they will be. Elections are all about money. Since 1960 the presidential candidate which raised and spent the most money has won every election except one, 2016. Clinton raised and spent 1.2 billion to Trump 647 million. In 2020 Biden raised and spent 1.6 Billion to Trump’s 1.1 billion.

To be viable, I would think it would take at least a billion since Biden will probably raise and spent 2 billion, Trump 1.5 billion if 2016/20 are an indication. On the good news side for no labels and perhaps RFK Jr. is 56% of all Americans state that if Donald Trump was the Republican nominee and Joe Biden the Democratic nominee, they would consider voting for an independent moderate candidate. The poll used the word consider which doesn’t mean they’d vote for that independent moderate. Then 64% of all Americans say this Country needs another choice besides Trump vs. Biden.

But since both Biden and Trump are disliked and not wanted to become the next president by most Americans, the only prediction I'll make is that of a low voter turnout. Lower than 2016 when 54% turnouted out vs. 62% for 2020 and a higher third party vote than 2016, 6% vs. 1.7% for 2020.

 

Voters like the idea we had a very secure border, very low inflation, affordable gas, worldwide conflicts very low, and no confusion as to what restroom to use. How does common sense evade the majority of posters on this thread?

 

What is your evidence of the U.S. having had a "very secure border" in recent decades? Even with Trump lying about having built his "big, beautiful wall!," "one of the largest infrastructure projects we've ever had in this country!", illegal immigration increased while Trump was in the White House.

The U.S. has, demonstrably, faired favorably in the matter of global inflation compared to other industrialized nations, and the economy continues strong, the unemployment rate far lower than when Trump was booted, and wages are again rising.

Right!!!! I have talked to so many people who realize Trump has no business in the White House, but they are not going to vote because they are disgusted with politics and want nothing to do with it. Trump followers, however, have an obsessive compulsion to please him, and will take great risks to get out and vote. A Democratic loss will have apathy and diminished values to blame. Fiddling while Rome burns or burying your head in the sand, or even playing Russian Roulette sounds stupid, but no more so than not casting your vote.

 

Good points. Sad that some have become so apathetic about voting and are prepared to play russian roulette with elections. There are many on this planet that would love to be able to vote and here we have a callous attitude to it. If they don't want to vote .they might as well live in a dictatorship. (and the way things look, they might just get that and it would be entirely their own fault. Those that don't vote don't deserve a democracy. years ago, the late great Moderate, David Broder, noted that when the soviet union failed-the American left went from trying to make the USA into another USSR to trying to balkanize America into warring ethnic special interest groups. when Biden makes promises of appointing only a black female to the supreme court even though the number of the very best qualified jurists in that group is essentially non-existent, he is doing just what Broder warned of. Biden is all about disarming honest Americans. Criminals love that. And Biden has been bashing the GOP over the Supreme Court reversal of the flawed Roe decision for months
