Wasn't the Mr. Gorsky story an urban legend?

Simply not conclusive ... using image analysis there was who demonstrated that on Mars there was a giant sphinx representing a face with a curious Egyptian headgear ... Being an IT manager and having a certain experience with image elaborating, examining an old picture taken in absence of atmosphere with old machines ... if you use the right method you can demonstrate what you want [and also what you don't want!].

What we know today is that probes are taking pictures of the Apollo landing sites on the Moon [what are these probes photographing? Did the film director of the Moon Landing movie record the images directly on the Moon???].

Apologies if this caused offense - I'm quite old and remember the old Soviet union as it used to be. The man appears to be a fictional character created by Aulis - I can find no published papers attributed to him - this for a man with a doctorate?. Even if he were real which seems unlikely, he still has no qualification to perform photogrammetrical analysis. His basic errors show this quite clearly.

I know that's what we read, but is it true? One plausible scenario is that the press was lying to us. Do a YouTube search on "Chomsky media".

Another plausible scenario is that they actually sent some unmanned craft up into space for other countries to track in order to fool them. They must have done something because the anomalies in the footage and photos show that it was all done on earth.
    http://www.politicalforum.com/moon-landing/347662-apollo-moon-missions-were-faked-studio.html

The guy who says it's all been debunked also tried to ofuscate the anomalies that prove that the Chinese spacewalk was faked so he is not to be taken seriously.

Do you get your info from NASA? Maybe NASA is lying. Viewers: please read the alternative info on radiation in the first link above.

The fact that it was possible to do that with unmanned craft means that laser reflectors on the moon are not proof that there were people on the moon.

Are you saying it wasn't possible to place reflectors on the moon with remote-control unmanned craft back then? Are you saying that reflectors on the moon are proof that there were men on the moon?

The press? How are the press responsible for places like Jodrell Bank? You seem to be using a word without knowing what it means, as an English teacher that isn't too impressive. Plausible isn't " a scenario where gullible fools can congregate and form a ridiculous opinion".

None of it was unmanned, none of it was faked. They did do something, they sent numerous missions to land on the Moon with men on board. Basing your entire argument on an a claim that has no scientific credence is not very impressive. It takes a special kind of person to deny basic physics to support that case. That is you.

An ad hominem attempt of utter stupidity. The blind man who insists a piece of ice rotating in space is a bubble actually uses his ignorance of space travel as a litmus test of whose testimony and rebuttal he can dismiss.

As though the entire remit on space radiation is controlled by NASA - what ignorance. For those interested, this is yet another subject the spammer will definitely not debate me on, space radiation.

Not one single shred of proof, witness testimony, a plausible launch window or anything whatsoever to back this claim up.

Bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Since the evidence doesn't exist, your secret access argument comes into play. Quite pathetic.

The lunar samples already prove man has visited the Moon numerous times, in the absence of a single shred of evidence disputing this, or supporting anything unmanned, it is logical and sane to assume the reflectors were placed there by the Apollo missions that landed on the Moon.

Proof that the picture was edited to add arrows and pointers to the Apollo artefacts. Has this idiot looked at the extremely large image this small section comes from? No, he hasn't, because he knows full well that it has no such photoshopping done to it.

That is proof your idiot hero Jarrah White has yet another subject to add to his list of shortcomings. The LROC transmissions are not photoshopped, there are thousands of pictures sent at regular intervals, freely available for anybody who cares to intercept the data transmissions.

He seems to be saying, that it has been added, but they didn't make a very good job of it, because this high contrast Earth picture with a better camera shows more detail. Such ignorance, no wonder you believe it.

I am a baby boomer. I know a few people in my generation that didn't believe it from day one. But all of them are basically mis-educated village idiots. And never amounted to much in life.

I saw a pic once of the stuff left on the moon from one of the moon missions. Back before they had photoshop. I also knew one of the astronauts punched one of the nutters out once, and he had it coming.

But hey, there are people who are convinced that the space aliens genetically engineered homo sapiens to dig gold for them. And you will not convince them otherwise. Beliefs are a funny thing. IN order for me to change my mind on whether we went to the moon and back, extraordinary claims require the same kind of proof. I have not seen that proof to date. Men died in that great effort to go to the moon and back, like Grissom. And these moon deniers just need a good ass whupping is all I can say. And all obviously have defective brains.

So, do you think that the Russians could be so easily fooled by a fake landing on the moon and the return? Do ya think that they knew full well what America had done? Or do you think they were so stupid? The proof that we went is voluminous. The proof that we didn't go, real sketchy. Occam's Razor.

If only you applied that criteria to some of the abject bilge you gullibly take in. That's all you have isn't it. Whenever presented with clear evidence, your only avenue of spam escape is to call a whole new bunch of people liars.

A series of videos from an imbecile. Summarize the major points made in those videos. Spamming an hour of trash is just obfuscation.

Phil Webb who has a doctorate in relevant subject matter, posts a whole series of videos debunking Jarrah White, here is just a couple of them:-

    Check this out.

    "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky"
    Little did I know…
A little tidbit of space trivia.........

On July 20, 1969, as commander of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module, Neil
Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon.
His first words after stepping on the moon, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind", were televised to earth and heard by millions of people.
But just before he re-entered the lander, he made the enigmatic remark "Good luck, Mr. Gorsky".
Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival Soviet cosmonaut. However, upon checking, there was no Gorsky in either the Russian or American space programs.
Over the years, many people questioned Armstrong as to what the 'Good
luck, Mr. Gorsky' statement meant, but Armstrong always only smiled.
On July 4, 1995, in Tampa Bay , Florida , while answering questions following a speech, a reporter brought up the 26-year-old question
about Mr. Gorsky to Armstrong. This time he finally responded, because
Mr. Gorsky had died, so Neil felt he could finally answer the question.

Here is the answer to "Who was Mr. Gorsky?".

In 1938, when Neil was a kid in a small mid-western town, he was playing baseball with a friend in the yard. His friend hit the ball, which landed in his neighbor's yard right by their open bedroom window. The neighbors were Mr. and Mrs. Gorsky. As young Neil leaned down to pick up the ball, he heard Mrs. Gorsky shouting at Mr. Gorsky:

"Sex? You want sex? You'll get sex when the kid next door walks on the moon!"

    It broke the place up!

Neil Armstrong's family confirmed that this is a true story....

    Science & Tech
    Why Russians like Neil Armstrong
    November 28, 2012 George
Feifer
George Feifer, the author of many acclaimed books about Russia, reflects on Neil Armstrong's visit to Moscow and tries to explain the Russian affection for the astronaut.

    Science & Tech Headlines

Neil Armstrong, the commander of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module who died in August, had a necessarily distant but nevertheless special relationship with Yuri Gagarin, and not only as the first person to set foot on the moon with the first person to have entered space.

Apart from Armstrong’s greater height – his nickname was “Stretch” – the two men resembled one another physically and otherwise. Country lads who traveled far from home educationally as well as geographically, both were good souls who behaved with modesty, dignity and friendliness during a time when many super-patriots were inciting fear and hatred. Surely that helped generate the kinship Russians felt with Armstrong when he visited in May 1970, 25 months after Gagarin’s death and ten after his moon flight.

    Russia faces competition in space
Cold War or no Cold War, he was given a tumultuous welcome, with near wild applause. But no resident of Moscow, Leningrad or anywhere else in Russia could have helped solve a mystery about the man, even if they’d been asked.

Armstrong’s first words after descending the little ladder to the moon’s surface quickly entered at least the second tier of the world’s most famous sentences.

“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Televised to earth, the eloquent declaration enabled half a billion people, a sixth of the world’s population, to share the thrill and enjoy an additional uplift from feeling unified in the exploration. In Moscow, where I was then working, disappointment that a Soviet cosmonaut hadn’t been first in that phase of the Space Race didn’t stop watchers and listeners from congratulating me as if I’d had something to do with the feat.

Russians were genuinely happy for humanity, as Armstrong wanted them to be, and for me personally. However, no one then or during the next quarter-century could make head or tail of a remark he was said to have made just before re-entering his module: “Good luck, Mister Gorsky.”

Mister Gorsky? Who was he? A Soviet cosmonaut, many NASA personnel assumed. Indeed, before leaving the moon, Armstrong left a satchel there containing medals commemorating Gagarin and Vladimir Komarov.

Komarov, who commanded the Soyuz 1 with which the Soviet Union had hoped to reach the moon first, with Gagarin as his backup, was killed in 1967 when his parachute failed to open. But no amount of checking found a Gorsky of any kind in the Soviet space program, and when “Stretch” was asked about it, he always answered with a smile and nothing more.

The smile stayed in place and the enigma grew. On it went for 26 years until July 1995, when a reporter asked the question during a Q&A that followed a talk the veteran astronaut gave in Tampa: Mr. and Mrs. Gorsky, it turned out, had been Armstrong’s neighbors.

While he was playing in his backyard, a friend hit a baseball into his neighbor’s yard, toward which young Neil hurried to fetch it. Leaning toward the ball beneath the Gorskys’ bedroom window, he heard a shout from Mrs. Gorsky. “Sex? You want sex? You’ll get it when the kid next door walks on the moon!”

I don’t know whether to be happy or sad that this entire story, much repeated for more than a decade, was eventually revealed to be apocryphal, an urban legend, I do know that the Russian affection for Armstrong was genuine.

Shortly after his death, Vladimir Popovkin, the head of Russia’s space agency, said his colleagues there remembered him “as an exemplary spaceship pilot: modest in his ways, always correct in his dealings with people, with a fine sense of humor when that was appropriate while, first of all, being demanding of and hard on himself. For us, he’ll always remain the model of fulfilling the common man’s dreams.”

“In a Bertolt Brecht play,” a popular Soviet website called Gazeta added, “Galileo answered a colleague’s ‘unhappy is the land that breeds no hero’ with ‘No, Andrea, unhappy is the land that needs a hero.’

Neil Armstrong, the child of the struggle between two such ‘unhappy’ countries...nevertheless lived a long and, we hope, a happy life.” What fittingly generous tributes! How encouraging that rivals can be good sports! And the Russian emotion, which went well beyond sportsmanship, can also serve as a model for how we talk about each other publically. May we please have more of it?

George Feifer is the author of many acclaimed books, including "Moscow Farewell" and "The Girl from Petrovka."

The..."Good Luck Mr. Gorsky.".....was thought by NASA to be unfitting a story to be told so they pretended it never happened until Neil Armstrong shortly after Mr Gorsky's death....told the story in Tampa.

I should have been clearer. I was lumping the press and science journals together. Nothing mainstream can be trusted be it history, news, or science. Science agencies in other countries can be controlled by the same group that control the US media.

At about the 30 minute mark of this video a scientist says that science fraud is common.

Scientists at the Rand Corporation say that depleted uranium is safe.
    http://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/docs/b04151999_bt170-99.htm

There are other scientists who say the opposite.
    https://www.google.es/search?q=depleted uranium&tbs=vid:1&gws_rd=ssl

It's clear that the government can find scientists willing to sell out and lie.

Here's a scientists who say that it's impossible to get something published in a science journal if it goes against the official version.

NASA engineers now say they need to figure out how to make it through the van allen belt due to the radiation. Why not use the same technology they used in 1969 to protect the astronauts from the radiation when they went there in an aluminum can?

Remember, the flag was blowing in the vacuum of space, the shadows didn´t line up properly, the astronauts refused to swear on the Holy Bible that they walked on the moon, there were no stars and who was filming them walking out there?

NASA has stole trillions of dollars from the American people.

They are using modern equipment. All equipment undergoes a test schedule which is pretty much standard across any engineering platform. As for the van Allen belts, as far as I know, there are plans to make numerous visits to the Moon which will necessitate different launch windows and trajectories. The routes will be through more denser regions of the belts.

Go google. These are idiotic points from 10 years ago that have been addressed ad nauseum.

That would be an amazing feat since it has never even had close to that in its entire budget history.

The idiocy of thinking that the Moon Landings were faked exists upon such a high level of stupidity and illogical conclusons that it is difficult to even know where to start to address just how IMPOSSIBLY DIFFICULT it would be to actually fake the Apollo Programs Lunar Landings compared to the much easier by many levels ability to LAND ON THE LUNAR SURFACE!!!

There are many examples of why the Lunar Landings could not have been faked but here are a few of the most special of impossible to fake evidence.

#1. THE SOVIET UNION GIVING CONGRATULATONS TO ARMSTRONG, ALDRIN and COLLINS....considering the U.S. and Soviet's were involved in a SPACE RACE to land a person or persons on the Moon.

#2. The development, construction and lanching of MASSIVELY LARGE SATURN V ROCKETS into the atmosphere and into at first Earth Orbit, Lunar Orbit and then to the Moon itself.

#3. TEN'S OF THOUSANDS OF HAM RADIO OPERATORS AROUND THE WORLD WERE ABLE TO LISTEN IN AND TRIANGULATE THE DISTANCE AND LOCATION OF THE APOLLO ASTRONAUTS CRAFT AS THEY TRAVELED TO THE MOON!! THIS IS 100% IMPOSSIBLE TO FAKE!!

#4. The FACT that the Apollo Astronauts placed several LASER REFLECTORS upon the surface of the MOON which we still use today as we bounce a LASER BEAM off these Laser Reflectors and this allows us to measure changes in the Moons distance from Earth as the Moon is very slowly traveling further and further away from the Earth upon each subsequent orbit of the Earth and one day depending upon when our Star will begin to run out of Hydrogen to Fuse into Helium thus causing our Sun to expand into a Red Giant and envelop all the Inner Planets all the way past Mars and close to Jupiter....depending upon when this happens....there is a possibility that the Earth may loose it's Moon.

Those are 4 of the best reasons why FAKING a Lunar Landing is virtually impossible.
