    I was not referring to that originally. I was referring to the fact that the overwhelming majority of whites agreed with Wayne and when I was schooled when it was said not "all" whites.

    Man, I wish someone would have told me all about my white privilege decades ago before I busted my ass building a business, working late hours, raising a family, putting a pittance away for retirement, instead I could have just lived off welfare, had a bunch of baby mamas, and drank 40's and smoked weed all day, and bitched and moaned about my life, stupid stupid me.

    Martin Luther King wasn't a traitor to his country. All he tried to do was make America live up to her promise that all men are created equal. And for that the White Supremacists killed him.

    Yeah, he was a saint. He professed to be a minister, but stayed in the company of communists that trained him in the most effective ways to B.S. gullible whites. He spent his last few hours on this earth sleeping with prostitutes while his wife took care of the kids at home. John Wayne was a racist; King was a communist whoremonger. Gee.     IMO, both parties should be taken down.

    So you'll get no sympathy from me.
    But the south needs to stop it's blatant racism. They went to war to own black people. It doesn't get anymore racist than the southerners. And they want to keep the idolized statues up.
    Take them down. Don't let the south, mostly republicans today, keep racism alive.

    I'll bet you say that for all those injuns he killed in his movies, yes? How he felt back in THOSE days about America was undiluted patriotism which remains rock-solid today. John Wayne was a true American.

    He was figurehead. He wasn't a "true American," he just played them on film. My grandfather wouldn't even let us watch his movies at his house when we were kids because, unlike my grandfather, Wayne dodged service during WWII. After his time in the camps, PawPaw didn't have much patience for that.

    Whatever you meant by "the camps" or "dodged the draft" escapes me, but let's address the U.S.O. and Hollywood Canteen and the INTENSE patriotism being shown by all levels of entertainers during WWII. Numerous actors got exempted for war-film production. The public DEMANDED patriotic films. John Wayne delivered.
