Indeed did not sound like a whole lot, but now, Democrats can talk about it and the Governor’s chances to survive.

What we already talked about. He's hitching his wagon to Trump in the hope of wooing his supporters to back him. It is absolutely ridiculous to pick a fight with parents. I'm generally a calm person but nobody messes with my kids. They WILL LOSE and almost all the parents I know feel the exact same way.

Besides, if he is following Orange Jesus...isn't the virus "nothing"? If so, why did he sneak his cronies to the front of the line to get their vaccines? That wouldn't be hypocritical, would it? Noooo!
Of course! That's how they roll. At the end of the day, each parent has to make the choice they think is best for their child(ren) and they should not have their decisions mocked or dismissed or denied because somebody's trying to be a contender for the next POTUS run.

I wonder how many people supporting that behavior are going to change their tune when they get called to an ER about their own kid. We saw some of that in the televised DNC last year. There were several people speaking about being Trump supporters that switched because they lost a family member to the virus.

For the life of me, I've tried and tried to figure it out and I can't. Why are they so loud about telling everybody else what to do but go ballistic if anybody tells them what to do? They can dish it out but won't take it. Just like their lord and savior Orange Jesus.

It’s a shame you guys are so desperate for hate you have to invent it where it doesn’t exist

DeSantis is keeping the parents in charge of their children. He rejects that the state controls children.

This is one purpose of my posting. To tell you over and over it is the Democrats who are authoritarians.

No, he is the authoritarian when he and he alone calls the shots. Let the schools andd corporations decide for themselves. As for Democrats.....they have not said anything about it because GOP is in full control in FL.

    Another way:

    The Florida Constitution

    SECTION 17. Impeachment.—

The house of representatives by two-thirds vote shall have the power to impeach an officer. The speaker of the house of representatives shall have power at any time to appoint a committee to investigate charges against any officer subject to impeachment.

GOP Florida Mayor Calls Governor Ron DeSantis a 'Dictator' for Blocking COVID Restrictions
    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/g...king-covid-restrictions/ar-AANm73I?li=BBnb7Kz
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' crusade to prevent COVID-19 restrictions and consolidate his power in the state has drawn ire from local officials, including the GOP mayor of Hialeah who called the governor a "dictator" for prohibiting mask mandates.

Hialeah Mayor Carlos Hernandez, who serves a solidly Republican city in Miami-Dade County, has routinely criticized the governor for not allowing local leaders to make decisions on how to best protect their residents amid the pandemic.

"He's a dictator," Hernandez said. "It's a shame because we're paying the price."

You can if you close the borders.

If Trump had the guts to declare a national emergency and close the borders, your economy wouldn't have collapsed, the death toll would be 500,000 fewer and the Delta-variant wouldn't be here.

I guess some people think if your little boat gets a hole in it while you're on the big pond and starts sinking, you should just poke more holes in the boat.

Ah, what ifs. If Trump closed the border it would have already been too late. China allowed international travel even though they were shutting down travel inside of China. The cat was already out of the bag when we understood something was going on. In case you paid attention, Trump did shut down travel from many places and of course the democrats called him a xenophobe and racist for it and all the democrats were on board then so your what if is just another attempt to blame Trump.

This is a guy who barely beat Gilliam, a very weak inexperienced candidate a couple years ago and is now presiding over a swampy de facto lepers colony down there. If this is the new Trumpian champ, you guys are in big friggin’ trouble.

Biden is definitely taking some heat from both sides over the Afghanistan withdrawal but as they say, 6 months is an eternity in politics. Once we are out of there, finally getting out instead of kicking the can down the road it could end up being a positive for Democrats. The important thing is what happens in the 2020 midterms. If the Democrats can continue their effort to get their voters out in big numbers despite the scummy GOP attempts to suppress their votes and hold on to the House and Senate, they will be in a great position to really trounce the GOP in 2024. Especially if the GOP is stupid and stubborn enough to nominate Trump for the 3rd time. There is 15 months to go before the midterms next November. It should be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

    Still on this narrative?
Trump encouraged vaccination at his most recent rally.
    This is how it works:
    DeSantis is responsible for DeSantis.

Fwiw, this petition is over a year old, and the landscape or variables have changed. We have several vaccines, ppe's are flush, Florida's economy and jobs are plentiful. The extra money for the unemployed is shrinking, covid stimulus funds have ceased, etc. But some people just want free stuff forever.
