The drug which Dirty Donald is touting as a miracle drug, is made from material derived from aborted fetal tissue. So if you want to get it, do it before his right wing Supreme Court bans abortions. It may not be around for very long.

They are saying that the batch he received was from kidney tissue from a baby aborted in the 1970's.

if that is true, the right is gonna love that and now Trump is pushing to get it to the American public, will the right support him?

The medicine was made using a cell line that originally came from an abortion in the 1970s. Over time, the cells have reproduced in the lab and none of the cells currently alive came from an abortion. Only their distant relatives. So it's more accurate to say that that Regeneron was made possible by cell line whose origin can be traced back to an abortion, but that didn't come from the abortion itself.

I have said for a long time, if a cure for a disease or a treatment came about because of fetal cells, the right would take it in a heartbeat if theirs or a loved ones life was on the line... Trump just proved this

Because of that one abortion, many lives could be saved, wonder how many republicans will refuse this drug because of this?

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/08/health/trump-antibody-cells-abortion-policy/index.html

"While Regeneron did not directly use human fetal cells to make the monoclonal antibody treatment given to Trump, it did use cells derived from an abortion in the Netherlands back in 1972 to make the targets for its antibodies -- the mimics of the coronavirus' spike protein."

it was there when we needed it, thankfully... of course that assumes the drug really works like Trump says it does

Because of laws passed since Trump took office only private companies can now use aborted fetal tissue to study and create new drugs and medicines. Anything receiving Federal funds are no longer allowed to use and study anything using aborted fetus tissue.

I am opposed to unlimited abortion. However, once that abortion takes place, it makes no sense not to take advantage of the possible benefits.

I have always thought that was a bad law, a woman should be able to donate her fetus to science, that should be her choice

Trump could be the first President to owe his life to such research, that will be one for the history books

agree, as the alternative is to incinerate it as medical waste, it would be like making all organ donations a crime, just doesn't make sense

Three guesses. No cheating. Guess who owns stock in Regeneron?

Trump has ties to drugmaker Regeneron -- and now its stock is surging

"Both stocks were listed as assets on Trump's 2017 filing with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, though neither were holdings on the president's most recent filing for 2020."

that is interesting, I wonder if he sold in 2019, or just conveniently left it off this year as he knew he was giving them $450 million in government funding, hard to tell with Trump

knew about that one, and he pushed that one hard, but when his own life was on the line, notice he did not choose Hydrachloroquine

Apparently Trump has a lot of mutual fund investments in the medical field. I know that none of the media will investigate, but I wonder how the success of this drug hurts other drugs which his mutual funds are invested in.

Unless he is a major investor in this firm, his profits will be insignificant.

if Trump was honest on his fillings, then he has nothing invested in Regeneron as he did not report it in 2020 in his fillings, which means he already sold it

But the principle remains, no abortion, no drug.

Right? I thought 'Christians' are all about principles, no?

You'd have to ask one. I just thought the thread title was a little misleading.

Isn't the President required by law to either sell or put all investments in a blind trust during the entire presidency??
