So why couldn't Trump find someone who was sitting directly in front of him?

Nonsense, Eastman wanted the state legislatures to determine the proper electors to resolve the dispute.

The same as what the dems attempted in 2016. The protest in DC during the transition Jan 20, 2017 were violent. DC was peaceful during the transition Jan 20, 2021

Because he didnt look directly in front of him, and instead looked to his side, presumably where he expected Rudy to be seated.

So he didn't see the man sitting directly in front of him. Weird. But you keep making up excuses. It's kind of cute.

That's an interesting fantasy that you've developed. The facts say otherwise.

I voted for him to shut down his campaign, but that's what I'd prefer he do anyway even without the charges. What he will actually do is continue running for president even if it turns out he has to do it from jail.

His first defeat crushed him emotionally and now he is angry and bitter but still as beholden to his ego and need for attention as he ever was. I do not believe retreat will be an option.

Didnt see him until he spoke, causing him to look towards where his voice was coming from. Not making excuses, just offering possible reasons when posters ask for the reason.

Which relevant facts are different? Or are you referring to my assertion that the transition of power in DC was peaceful jan 20, 2021 while Jan 20,2017 was violent? There are pictures and video in DC for both dates to prove that fact.

Go ahead and make your case then.
What was illegal in what he did and where's the indictment or charges?

I'm just going to go on the record one more time..... For those who would call me a "MAGA"or a "trump cultist".... Just know that I want to see our great governor of Florida Ron DeSantis become the next president. But if it comes down to a choice of trump or the oatmeal mush for brains idiot that currently occupies the White House.... You're damn right I will vote for Trump again....
MAGA !!! In your face without a care!

And you and every one of your buddies in the United States is not going to shame me into changing that opinion..... And my name might as well be legion..

You can't make everyone agree with your opinion no matter how much you attempt to shame them into it

If Trump goes to jail and gets elected, he would be the first one. James Michael Curley ran for office while he was in jail for mail fraud.

Here's a 1932 button that Curley used as a "coattail" with Franklin Roosevelt.

After FDR became president, someone asked him what office FDR should award to Curley for his support of the president during the presidential campaign.

    “Ambassador to Poland,” FDR answered.

    “Why Poland?” someone asked.

“Can you think of anything Mr. Curley would like to steal in Poland?” the president responded.

Workers are destroying the fabric of the country? How.

Our standard in the world has gone up in the last 2 yrs. We no longer have a leader that was laughed at on the world stage by other world leaders.

Who laughed at Trump? I only recall the Germans laughed at Trump when he criticized them for their gas deals with Russia. Hindsight now shows his criticism was legitimate and warranted.

I would vote for Trump if I knew for a fact he could win in the general. I am not so principled that I would stick with a sinking ship. Besides, if he is to get elected he only has four years. He had four years and could not dissolve the "Deep State". I would support DeSantis. He has been attacked for trying to resolve the Social Security/ Medicare problems we will face in the future. Every honest politician knows it is coming. Not too many honest ones though. DeSantis could get eight years and if we are to save America, it will take at least eight. DeSantis has proven to be a little wiser than Trump with his mouth. Trump gives the opposition too much ammunition when it is not necessary. I believe the Deep State has made a great effort in destroying Trump. It will take at least eight years of effort to destroy them. We have to get elected to do that.

part of me wants him to continue to run as he gets the dem vote out, but there is always that freak chance he wins, not worth the risk

I would rather dems lose in 2024, then take the chance

Once again, you don't understand why Biden won the first time - the Anti-Trump vote. No matter how crappy Biden does, there are a larger number of
people who just can't stand Trump. He is a dick. End of story.

And by the way - I don' think Biden runs again, he would just be a fool to announce that too early as
he would become a lame duck.

I understand perfectly why Biden won the first time or why he won't win again. I'm not sure you do though.
