You ignore 2 years of a super majority and look at 9 months of the GOP trying to stop the Obama out of control spending?

 

Truth is the democrats did nothing when they had a super majority. In fact Obama has never had a budget passed. Second the GOP can not get anything pass Reid and the senate democrats

 

So there is no food industry or farmers? Nice try but it is you that does not see past your house

Sooooo, the GOP SENATE has used record setting FILIBUSTERS since OBAMA became POTUS-and you expect anyone to believe(except you that is)it is the Dems that won't pass anything.
And do you need to be reminded so soon,after the GOP HOR came inches from shutting down our government-and downgraded our credit rating and caused Wall- Street to go ape crazy---
And do you need to be reminded that our meltdown did NOT need to happen-this was a self inflicted wound---BROUGHT on by excessive GREED---UNDER a GOP watch
All the GOP is saying now---"we need a budget-to reign in spending"-where were they when GWB went from a surplus to 13 trillion in debt in less than 8 years-and when the market crashed in 2007 we lost 17 trillion in global wealth OVERNIGHT-( just had to throw that in)right now we need revenue,our country needs infusion of cash-the middle class can no longer pay for anything--because the GWB administration made it so easy for a few-the rest of us are suffering.
I just wonder what will happen when money no longer is the reason driving people,the longer we all go without jobs,the less we rely on money,and the less power the corporations have over us--it does no good for 2% to have all the wealth in this country-who are they going to sell their goods to? the protests you are seeing on Wall-Street,it's the beginning of us not caring about the powermongers and their money.

 

For 2 years the GOP did not have enough votes to filibuster. Obama had a super majority and the GOP could do nothing. You history revision and Obama defending is well seen

Many Republican politicians probably do want the economy to fall far enough to get them back into the White House.

Would many Democrats feel any differently were the roles reversed?

I doubt it.

 

If you're a partisan connie, I can somewhat understand your confusion. If your not, WTF?

 

I am neither rep nor dem.

And I believe that many Republican politicians secretly do want the economy to fail...or at least, fall back into a recession and stay there long enough to get them back in the White House.

And I believe if the roles were reversed, many Democrat politicians would feel the same way.

No offense, but you would have to be INCREDIBLY naive to believe otherwise (imo).

It took decades for America to arrive at this juncture. There is no longer any pretense of us being one people.
