They didnt intrude and any treaty still requires "consent" of the Senate.

I don't either, but at another time in America both right and left would work together against a common foe and not doing so would be unconscionable.

    Cheers

This is yet another right wingnut story by Leeden, who has had a series of articles against Obama THAT HE HAS HAD TO LATER ADMIT WERE WRONG. This claim has been circulated by every right wing bullhorn in the media...but the ONLY source is apparently Leeden's word. If Miller confirms such or the letter is actually produced or a former Iranian official confirms this, I'll believe it. Until then, it's just another accusation without proof.

Provide the documentation where the Shrub stated to the Dems and Repubs that went to Syria with and before Pelosi that he did not want them to do it. If you can't, then you're just wishful thinking.

And in typical fashion, when the right wing pundits and sycophants cannot logically or factually refute or disprove a point, they throw every and anything against the wall in hopes that that no one will notice their folly.

Bottom line: the GOP 47 tried to interfere directly with preliminary negotiations based on a PREMISE of victory in 2016. That last stipulation is the ONLY reason why they skirt the label of treason. NO DEMOCRAT HAS DONE EXACTLY THE SAME TO EITHER BUSH OR REAGAN. PERIOD. Now it's come back to bite them in the butt no matter how defiant and arrogant they are, as seen here http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...s-admit-that-iran-letter-was-a-dumb-idea.html

Stubborn little cuss, ain't ya? You REFUSE to acknowledge the FACT that the CONSTITUTION CLEARLY GIVES THE PRESIDENT THE AUTHORITY TO INITIATE TREATY NEGOTIATIONS WITHOUT THE APPROVAL/CONSENT OF CONGRESS. A matter of history, a matter of fact that you keep trying to revise to your liking, but fail time and again.

Since when it's their "legislative duty" to try and sabotage opening negotiations? But since the GOP 47 letter was a threat based on a PREMISE of victory in 2016, the signers don't fit the bill for the Logan Act. But their silly ploy has bit them in the butt http://www.politico.com/story/2015/03/republicans-surprised-by-iran-letter-blowback-116003.html

How is Obama a tyrant like Bush? Last time I checked, Obama didn't violated Congressional and UN agreements to invade/occupy a country on false pretense. I don't agree with a LOT of what Obama has/has not done, but "tyrant" is a gross exaggeration found on extreme pundit broadcasts and publishing.

Have you heard that after the letter made clear that 0bama could not give the Iranians crazy men a real legal deal they stopped screaming at Kerry and seem to be willing to take what they can get and hope the Senate dems won't let the Senate override 0bama's veto. But there are some dems facing the people in 2016 so they will vote for our national security and against the Iran loving traitors trying to give Iran a nuclear bomb. That would be 0bama and his ugly twin Kerry.

Obama clearly intended to avoid the Constitution and never ask the congress to OK what is a Treaty about the way Iran and America interact.

All Obama had to do was say the Congress with not be avoided and the Deal will be approve when he gets done making it with Iran.

Congress did well to tell Iran that unless THEY agree, its no deal.

Translation: Mikey got his butt handed to him, so ignores what he doesn't like: http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=399818&p=1064839096#post1064839096

And any fool can read the chronology of the posts and see where I've stated several times that since the GOP 47 letter is based on the PREMISE that they will win in 2016 (or the next President will act in their favor), they skirt treason (you can't convict on a "what if"). Had they stated, "we're definitely going to screw any deal that comes out of the Obama administration in 2016", then they would have been subject to trial for treason.

Got that, Mikey? Good. Now grow up and deal with the latest GOP folly http://www.politico.com/story/2015/03/republicans-surprised-by-iran-letter-blowback-116003.html

He's not interested in what is, but what he perceives should be according his personal beliefs....which is why he ignores FACTS and talks past them.

I'm pointing to FACTS, son. TFB if they don't suit your liking, but all your revisionist bluster won't make them go away.

I'm hearing a LOT of supposition and conjecture from you.....care to provide some documented FACTS to support your assertions? I'll wait.

Screw your poll. The uneducated love polls. It's easier for others to do their thinking for them that way.

Please read through the thread here. I've provided the legal and Constitutional documents and proof that Obama was well within his Constitutional powers to initiate treaty negotiations without Congressional consent or approval. And since it's non-binding, it's merely opening negotiations...any final deal has to get 2/3 Congressional approval.

The GOP 47 letter was pure political venom....and it's backfiring on them. Check it out http://www.politico.com/story/2015/03/republicans-surprised-by-iran-letter-blowback-116003.html

And when presented with facts that disprove his beliefs, publican just denies them. In short, another stubborn right wing crank short on intellectual honesty. I'm done with him.

Quit crying about the letter. It was legal to send and it was their right to send it. And lose the name calling.

The UN agreement prohibits them from enriching uranium. Why would we make an agreement to not build a bomb for 10 years

Wow, the incredible wrongness of ferret. I think I have the title of my next one act play. The "the PREMISE that they will win in 2016" is totally irrelevant to my questions about your accusations of near treason, or skirting treason, or however you want to call it. That's why even though you pretend to have acheived some sort of victory, no one knows what it is. You've still dodged my question over and over. I asked you what exactly do you consider "near treason" or "skirting treason" and why none of the other examples given to you in this thread of Democrats in Congress running their own foreign policy fit the non crime of near or skirting treason? You still keep dodging the issue in spite of all of your claims of victory.
