That bit I couldn't find on the platform. Either way, it's not a mental health issue anyway. Plenty of things that are considered mental health issues really aren't so no need to add more to that pile.
Not my issue. My issue is the religious right showing influence in how these platform proposals are geared toward them to gain support.
And for those conservatives who claim the Christian Right has lost their influence over the GOP...well they're wrong
Primarily because the GOP leaders know that those who are nonreligious on the right are generally not registered Republicans. Meanwhile the Christian right will lockstep behind the GOP banner. As long as that's consistently true, there will always be religious influence. Of course, it also doesn't help that Democrats put a pro Islam spin on their rhetoric (as well as other issues), which provides that for the Christian right, the GOP are in fact the ones to oppose Democrats.
The claim that Islam is a religion of peace and any association with terrorist groups is a complete fabrication. Are you capable of an honest discussion at all? You're always one post away from some ridiculous personal attack, yet have the cowardly nerve to report me when I respond in kind. Perhaps if you actually attempted to have a civil discussion, there would be progress made, but no. You'd rather go on some foolish and idiotic diatribe about how people who don't fit your little bubble are "evil".
