They banned you for making the obvious observation that McCain is a liberal? That hardly seems fair. Bush was a fiscal liberal too, I agree. Now, is Romney "too liberal"? Depends on your point of view. He does have experience in the private sector, and maybe can see the handwriting on the wall regarding continuing to spend $1.35 for every $1 taken in.

all I can see is that the main difference between Obama and Romney is the change of name on the account that gets the 400k payroll deposit a year
AND the additional Secret Service for another president

at least with Obama - he will still get the same number of tax payer funded security personnel no matter if he is in 4 years or 8 ...

The ONE THING that we can thank Romney for is the reminder that those who live on investments only pay 15% tax so there is no way they would agree to pay the same tax as the working people - less chance of a flat tax

Mormans are poly theistic, Christians are mono theistic.

Christians believe in the father, the son, and the holy ghost. That's three, isn't it?

How'd Romney get rich then? That's why Jesus/God says it's so hard for a rich man to get into Heaven, because of the things he's done getting rich. And I'm sure what the public knows about Romney is only the tip of the iceberg.

Mormons are satan-worshipping freemasons. They're the same as "jews" in that they believe they're a higher form of human being and that all non-mormons are subhuman. They call us Gentiles the same as "jews" do.

I live in Elko County, Nevada, which is run by this aberrant race, and they conspire heavily to make sure only mormons (minijews) get all the best-paying jobs. They're also striving to take over all the local government. And since all it takes is money to be a politician in America, they're succeeding.

In my opinion, it shouldn't matter what a person believes privately regarding the subjective value of morals based on religion; it should only matter if they try to impose their religious views under any office of public trust under the United States.

Would we be worse off with a hypothetical, better religions bureau?

Exactly. We have a separation of church and state (thankfully) and electing a president is not the same as choosing a new pastor.

Besides, I tend to consider it merely preaching in public for consideration of a reward as form of political pandering to some constituencies based on Religion, instead of the supreme law of the land as Ordained and Established by our own Founding Fathers as our secular and temporal and civic morals to be handed down from generation to generation as a form of moral absolutism.

Keep cherry picking the Bible verses :bored:
Pro 13:11 - Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished:
but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.
and there is this verse also:
Ecc 6:2 - A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.

Ahh ... so you do not believe in the Bible?
or do you just try to spread discontent?

Do you disagree that God's Chosen (the Tribes of Israel) are not those who were called God's People?

It's too bad your thought process is so tainted with discontent and hate!

I don't know anyone who actually does fully understand the Trinity. As far as I know, even Catholics regard it as a mystery. Three persons, yet one being, or one substance. I can't wrap my mind around that. To someone unfamiliar with the Trinity, it sort of sounds like someone with multiple personalities, but it obviously isn't. Mormons believe they are three persons, three beings (one who is a Spirit, and two who are immortal physical beings of flesh and bone), and one in purpose and doctrine. This doctrine is called Godhead rather than Trinity. That philosophically makes more sense, but whether it is as consistent as The Holy Trinity with the teachings of the Bible is debatable.

Since Mormons accept the divinity of Jesus and acknowlege him as their Savior, please explain to us why they aren't Christians

That is unfortunate, I have the corncept down: mesef, and it only takes a portion of my one functional brain cell.

The Catholics I know surely do not regard Trinity as a mistery.

If one believes in an unchanging, eternal, timeless, boundless, limitless, omniscient, omnipotent, creator of all things entity as God, (as I do), it is actually a fairly simple corncept. You see: such an entity can actually be many things at one time. The Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, and a Father in Heaven, are our mortal, very limited perceptions of three of the demensions of a vast, powerful and limitless God.

Mormons are polythiestic, so of course they would see three very different gods, (small g), in that way. My God big G, (as a Christian believer), has absolutely nothing in common with the Mormon gods. I am very familier with the vast differences in my Jesus Christ which is God big G; the timeless creator of all things, and the Mormon's "Jesus Christ" which is merely the brother of the Morman's "Lucifer", (both sons), of the Morman's "Heavenly Father". My God: Jesus Christ; created Lucifer and all other things. Hope that profound point is clear to you, butt: it may be hard fer a non believer to grasp.

With all due respect: it, (LDS "Godhead" vs Trinity), is only "debatable" to a non-Christian who doesn't have the faintest clue about Jesus Christ God big G.

I'm just saying that the Trinity isn't as simple as you seemed to suggest it is.

    "One God, three beings."

I understand the statement, but the concept is abstract. When this concept of "one God, three beings" is introduced, especially when one of those beings is constantly referred to as the Son of God, how that concept actually works is difficult to understand. That doesn't mean it's not true, I'm just saying that if people don't understand it, they hardly "lack brain matter." I can assure you I am an intelligent person. Maybe I would be wrong to say that no one understands the Trinity, but it is true that many people don't.

To speak a little more on topic, an argument about whether or not Mormons are Christian really is a dead end.

If certain people think Mormons aren't Christian because someone told them this:
then great, that's they're opinion. They can determine whether or not they think this argument is misleading.

Alternatively, if other people think Mormons are Christian because they believe and accept Christ as they're Savior, then that's fine with me, too.

If majority rules, then great. That would mean that since the majority of Americans think Mormons are Christian, they are Christian. It's fine with me if someone uses that logic to arrive at their own conclusion.

I personally think Mormons are Christian; however, the definition of a "Christian," or the so-called "criteria to be a Christian," as someone mentioned on the first page of this thread, and the opinions about what Mormons really believe vary so much from person to person, from religion to religion, that, IMHO, this topic is completely irrelevant.

The Mormon concept of the trinity is that they are three separate beings, but are one in the sense that a family is one unit.

Now, let's hear the Catholic concept of the trinity explained so simply, or at all in a way that the average person can understand it.

It surely is. I am a Christian with one (fully functional brain cell), are you?

Nope, One GOD, big G, three aspects of said GOD are known as the Trinity, the "three beings" horse poop is NOT Christian doctrine: PERIOD. Takes only one functional brain cell (at idle) ta get it IF YER A CHRISTIAN.

"Abstract" if yer not a Christian, or lack the use of one engaged functional brain cell.

Some folks get all tied in knots over the literal meanin' of parables n' rhetorical illustrations n' such in the good ol' book that has been translated in various languages many times and passed down over many MANY years. BTW: I'm not talkin' the Book o' Mormon or Doctrine n' Covenants, I'm talkin' a book lots older then that.

I named some other potential reasons fer a lack of understandin' didn't I; ..... are ya a Christian?

Alrighty then.... can I call ya Albert then?

I'm sure yer lots smarter then a hillbilly with only one functional brain cell.

    Many people are not Christians.

Members of the Church of LDS are NOT CHRISTIANS: PERIOD. I guess that is the kinda "dead end" yer talkin' about. eh?

Nope that's not "they're" opinion, that is a fact. My GOD: JESUS; is NOT THE BROTHER OF SATAN.

I'm fine with people believin' the ol' moon is made of cream cheeze: messef :eye:

The majortity's beliefs never EVER trumps fact, do ya think the earth was flat when the majority believed that then? :please:

Ya must not be a Christian or you would never think that: then, (or we have to discuss yer brain function).

Please see my post #289. I'm not Catholic, butt: I do understand their doctrine, as a former Lutheran, (ol' Martin was a Catholic ya know  ), who is now a "born again" Christian who has attended many a mass, (with me Sweetie), in my time.

I read through it. This part seems to be your explanation:
If the father, son and holy ghost are three different aspects of the same god, then how can Jesus be his own son?

Alright, sorry. Three aspects, not beings. That is a much better way to put it, but my argument still holds. It's all relative. A flat world and a Mormon Christian isn't a great comparison, because flat is such a concrete concept. "Christian" is completely relative. You think Mormons aren't Christian because they believe Jesus and Lucifer are brothers. Great. That's you're opinion, it isn't a fact. I personally think Mormons can believe that Lucifer and Jesus are both sons of God big G, thus making them brothers, and still be Christian. I respect you're opinion if you respect mine, but that seems unlikely.

BTW, I personally don't believe that majority rules on this issue, I was just saying I respect the fact that some people do, even though I don't agree with it.

Mormonism is a form of Christianity, but it is distinct enough from traditional Christianity so as to form a new religious tradition, much as Christianity is more than just a sect of Judaism.

Even so what difference does it make? You would dislike him based on his faith? Were he Jewish and you did so you would be labeled anti-semitic.

JESUS = GOD = HOLY SPIRIT

Satan is the Devil, (a fallen angel). Hope that is clear.

    Are you LDS?

Nope, not at all. Islam and Christianity are distinct religions, Allah is not the God of Abraham, (Jesus). The LDS Jesus is the brother of Satan not GOD big G. Christianity is monotheistic, Mormanism is polytheistic. Hope that helps ya.

I like Mormans n' I like n' support Mitt. He is not a Christian, and I'm not a religious bigot. Hope that helps.

    Cool. I respect that.

    I sure am.

I think we can agree to disagree on whether or not Mormons are Christian, but this has been an interesting conversation.
